What?

“FAILURE  and REJECTION aren’t bad.

They are empowering!  

They cannot be avoided.

 To accomplish anything worth accomplishing,

you’ve got to experience some pain along the way.

To succeed, to thrive, to live the life of your dreams,

you must risk failure and rejection, and then keep going.  

You must keep going.  

You must keep moving.

 You must keep fighting.

That’s why so many individuals never get to experience the sweet smell of success,

because first you must be willing to experience the joy of failure.

Without pain, there is no gain.

Without risk, there is no reward.

paula:  I think it is normal to be shocked or even laid-low when we are rejected or fail.  We don’t jump quickly to the conclusion that it is a joy!  It is a ‘time out’ to reflect on the situation that is needed.  In the “time out” we need to realize that we are worthy or success.  It is a test of our self-esteem.  We need to tell ourselves that everyone experiences rejection and failure.  Since a child we have fallen down when we first started to walk, but we got up.  We tried to talk and failed, but the need to communicate was stronger.

He also held the lifetime total home run record of 714 for 39 years until Hank Aaron broke it in 1974. He held other records too. He had 1,330 career strike outs — a record he held for 29 years until it was broken by none other than the great Mickey Mantle.
