The Eurovision Song Contest has been going strong for years and it brings in millions of viewers.  There has been much controversy about the scoring.  I remember when Russia controlled many countries – a Russian song would be judged as Number 1 by countries in the Soviet bloc.

This year, there is a great female performed representing Russia.  Polina Sergeyevna Gagarina is a Russian singer, songwriter, actress, and model.

The twenty-eight, Moscow-born, singer wore a white gown with spaghetti straps and a plunging neckline, Polina set the tone before she even began singing her track ‘A Million Voices’.  She was relaxed and warm to the audience.

During the Eurovision tour, Gagarina revealed she supports LGBTI rights. At one point during the performance, the audience were shown and all you could see were rainbow flags.

‘We are all absolutely equal,’ she told Gay Star News.

‘My song is about how all people are the same. We are equal and a million voices are the same everywhere.’

Now, I am sure that Russian television cameras will not permit the showing of our rainbow flags.   paula.
