Rudolph was Bullied  from my children’s site

Please pass it on to adults and kids that you know.  Thank you.

In the movie, “Rudolph, the Red Nose Reindeer,” we find out that Donner was his father.  Rudolph was hurt by the other reindeers that bullied him .  Eventually, he ran away.  Imagine coming to school every day and being bullied!

Here is the song.   Look at the words that tell of the dreadful bullying that Rudolph suffered.  I have put human pictures of bullying.  I hope you will see how Rudolph or kids feel.

The Song:

You know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen

Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen

But do you recall

The most famous reindeer of all?

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

Had a very shiny nose

And if you ever saw it

You would even say it glows

All of the other reindeer

Used to laugh and call him names

They never let poor Rudolph

Join in any reindeer games

Then one foggy Christmas Eve

Santa came to say

“Rudolph, with your nose so bright

Won’t you guide my sleigh tonight?”

Then how the reindeer loved him

As they shouted out with glee

“Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

You’ll go down in history”

For Everyone.    What do You Think?  Please answer these questions.

1.   Is it bullying when the other reindeer laugh and call Rudolph names?

2.     Is it bullying and unkind when they would not let Rudolph play with them?

3. Can you act like Santa and see that a kid that is different can have special gifts and talents?

It seems that Rudolph was a different reindeer because he had a red nose that seemed to glow.  I think you will agree with me that Rudolph could not help the fact that he had a red nose.  And I think you will agree that it was cruel to hurt Rudolph just because he was different.

And I’d like you to think about Donner, who is Rudolph’s father.  He must have seen the other reindeer being unkind to his son.  But, at the end, it was his son that led all the other reindeers as they pulled Santa’s sleigh.

This is NOT just a Christmas Song!

We are different, but we are all the same- as human beings

This is a song that tell us all year long that bullying someone because he or she is different is wrong.  As it turns out, Rudolph’s difference was a special gift that no one noticed at first.   It was Rudolph’s  difference that made it possible for Santa to bring toys and joy to others.

When You Know That Bullying is Wrong – Stop it – or Get An adult involved.

When the reindeers realized that they had bullied Rudolph, and that his difference was special, it changed how they acted.  Now, they looked at Rudolph with love in their hearts.

Let us look at everyone with love.  Everyone is a human being who can feel pain and hurt.  Let’s make a difference.  YOU can make a difference.
