All First Ladies of the White House embark on various charities or programs.  Melania has promised to campaign against bullying.  This is a great idea.  On my children’s website: childrenandteensstoriestomotivateandinspire.com – I write under my real name – Pauline Gallagher.

If you are reading this and know of any way to contact Mrs. Trump, please assist me.  This story will address bullying and promote the “power of one” – In this case, it is a child, Belinda, that values diversity and fairness.   Thanks, Pauline.

Belinda’s Dandelion

The dandelion and a group of flowers wake up and enter the world for the first time.  The dandelion is quick to praise and acknowledge the beauty and differences of the flowers.  They in turn, praise her beauty by stating her head is like the golden sun.   All is well in this idyllic Garden of Eden.

The “serpent” appears in the darkness of night in the form of a hissing perennial.  It states that there is a weed present.  The flowers cannot visualize an “inferior” plant amongst them.   It only takes ONE plant or one child to incite violence, bullying and mob rule.

The Convincing Perennial

This conniving plant uses several methods to intimidate the plants.  “Only a clever plant” recognizes a weed.   The perennial appeals to history – her ancestral family has waged “important” wars against weeds.   This is common practise and a good fight.
