Angry God – I can’t wait to have people burn in hell for eternity

Jesus love all. He told us "Love one another as I have loved you." - and- "Do not judge."

The Fears and Joys of Fundamental Religions: can be seen in the words and actions of Kentucky Marriage Licensing Clerk – and – Muslim terrorists.  The fear of God is offset by a reward in Paradise for both religions.  Fundamentalists will steam roller over other people’s civil rights (like Kim Davis) or blow themselves and others up like Muslim Jihadists.  Whether you kill people physically or “Kill” their human rights and dignity is NOT important, but rules written in the Bible or the Koran give them license to perform these actions.  In all cases, Kim and the Jihadists feel justified.  God often “speaks” to them directly and in most cases these fundamentalists are above the civil law and the  human rights  contained in the United Nations Charter of Human Rights

The Fear of God in the Bible

Revelation 20:10 (written by John)hell

And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

2 Thessalonians 1:9 (written by Paul)

These will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,

Comment by Clark Pinnock:

Clark Pinnock (author) states the doctrine of eternal torture makes God out to be morally worse than Hitler “who maintains an everlasting Auschwitz for his enemies whom He does not even allow to die. How can one love a God like that? I suppose one might be afraid of Him, but could we love and respect Him? Would we want to strive to be like Him in His mercilessness?” Let’s be honest here and tell it like it is: The doctrine of never-ending conscious torment makes God out to be a cruel, unjust, merciless monster. Who would possibly want to accept salvation from such a God?

Fear of Allah (God) in Islam

The Quran teaches that the people who are sent either to hell or to paradise will remain there forever. They will be there for eternity and never again leave these places: and those that followed say, ‘O if only we might return again and disown them, as they have disowned us!’ Even so God shall show them their works. O bitter regrets for them! Never shall they issue from the Fire. S. 2:167 Arberry

“Taste ye then – for ye forgot the Meeting of this Day of yours, and We too will forget you – taste ye the Penalty of Eternity for your (evil) deeds!” S. 32:14

Muslims Who Follow Sharia Law – Islamic Fundamentalists

This is right-wing or fundamental Islam. According to Islamic scholars, Sharia Law predates Islam as it takes actions like stoning from Judaism. There seems to be an inconsistency existing in Sharia Law. In Sudan adultery is punishable by stoning to death of the perpetrators, but in Malaysia adulters are caned. Sharia Law predates the Prophet Muhammad. As far as I can tell, women are given the rights to property and divorce by the Prophet Muhammad, but in certain countries for example Afghanistan, women according to Sharia Law can be starved for not giving sex to their husbands – and they can be divorced by husbands without access to property or their children. There is no mention of women driving cars in the Koran, but Sharia Law in Saudi Arabia forbids them from driving and voting. In the Koran, women are asked to be modest in dress. In Sharia Law, women are veiled.

The Biblical God of Love

Jesus shows us a Creator who is unconditional love

Jesus shows us a Creator who is unconditional love

It is my opinion, that the majority of Christians look upon the Creator as a loving God.  Jesus tried to rid his believers of the fearful God.  He addressed his father as “Abba” or daddy.

Psalm 86:15 But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.

Jesus Romans 8:37-39 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord

Jesus who laughed and drank wine and just loved everyone

1 John 4:7-8  Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.  Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.

Loving God of Islam

As far as I can determine, Allah loves and rewards those who are not sinners. It seems not to be an unconditional love, but I could be wrong and as such, I apologize.

But those who believe and do deeds of righteousness, We shall soon admit to Gardens, with rivers flowing beneath,- their eternal home: Therein shall they have spouses purified: We shall admit them to shades, cool and ever-deepening. S. 4:57

Enter ye therein in Peace and Security; this is a Day of Eternal Life! S. 50:

“Your Lord is full of mercy all-embracing; but from people in guilt never will His wrath be turned back. S. 6:147

Do We Need to Be Rewarded?

And, of course, for Islamic terrorists, the martyrs are given virgins as a reward.

And voluptuous women of equal age;” – Qur’an 78:33

Companions restrained (as to their glances), in (goodly) pavilions;- Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- Whom no man or Jinn before them has touched;-” – Qur’an 55:72-74

Each time we sleep with a Houri we find her virgin. Besides, the penis of the Elected never softens. The erection is eternal; the sensation that you feel each time you make love is utterly delicious and out of this world and were you to experience it in this world you would faint. Each chosen one [i.e. Muslim] will marry seventy [sic] houris, besides the women he married on earth, and all will have appetizing vaginas.” – Al-Suyuti, Al-Itqan fi Ulum al-Qur’an, p. 351

Summary:  We mortals have to do our own mental thinking about the above.  If we are atheists, then there is no need to bother with the above.  However, most of us do have a concept of a creator and rules for living which include loving our fellow humans and honouring nature.  As for an afterlife, it’s a matter of denial or faith.  For those who believe, we have to come to a conclusion – is the Creator a God or Goddess of love – or a fearful being for judges us and casts us into a fire forever.  I’m putting my trust on the positive and loving God.
