A PLACE TO STAND
Give us a place to stand
And a place to grow
And call this land Ontario.
From western hills,
To northern shores.
To Niagara Falls,
Where the waters roar
Give us a land of peace,
Where the free winds blow.
And we will build Ontario
A place to stand, a place to grow
COME AND VISIT ONTARIO
Here are the Houses of Parliament with the Peace Tower clock. Nearby is the Ottawa River that separates Ontario from Quebec.
While Ottawa is the capital of Canada, Toronto is the largest city. Quebec’s first language is French. Canada is a bi-lingual country recognizing English and French as the two official languages.
Canada has the largest of the Great Lakes, (Lake Superior). It is so large that the British Isles could be dropped/drowned in it. (Canadians don’t wish to do this).
Ontarians are sports fans. National Hockey League teams are as follows:
Toronto Maple Leafs, Ottawa Senators, Baseball: The Jays, Football: The Argos, Soccer: Toronto FC, Basketball: The Raptors, Lacrosse: The Rock.
Ontarians love the outdoors. Algonquin Park is enjoyed by visitors. See moose
