Jenna hold baby Quinn as Stephanie looks on

Jenna Wolfe and partner Stephanie Gosk are well-known to American television viewers.  On February 4, 2017, they welcomed their second daughter, Quinn.  Their first child, Harper Estelle was 17 months old when she greeted her new sister.

In an interview with Today Parents (2013), Jenna said:

“Of all the jaw-dropping, head-turning, and eye-popping things I’ve ever told my friends and family (‘I swam with killer sharks,’ ‘I jet-packed 30 feet out of the water,’ ‘I scaled the tallest building in Canada’), nothing garnered more shock and awe (and, yes, some tears) than when I told people I was pregnant”

Jenna holds their oldest daughter while Stephanie holds the littlest one.

“Just writing those words — ‘I’m pregnant’ — is surreal to me,” she continued. “After all, I was never the kid that ran around playing house. I never had daydreams about being a mom and raising a family…As a kid, I would have chosen raising my adrenaline over raising children any day of the week. But then a funny thing happened on my way to adulthood…I grew up.

Both women are television journalists.  We can wish them many years of happiness with their new babies.

Unknown Lawyer Defends Pastor Joel: Jesus was NOT a Socialist.

During the recent Texas Hurricane disaster that left 30,000 people homeless, Megachurch Pastor Joel Osteen was criticized for not opening this church to the poor and needy.

The internet and other media outlets blasted him.  In an effort to shore up his millions (and get more  future money), Joel stated that his church already had been doing “somethings” to help the victims of the hurricane.  He is known as a man of prayer and these prayers have been to help the victims and to keep his Mega-Church and 18,000 sq. ft. mansion safe into God’s hands.

“Unknown” Lawyer Defends Joel.

Through the grapevine (and you can’t often trust the media), an unidentified lawyer came to Joel’s aid.  He said that such ‘fake news’ exposed the ‘Gospel of Socialism’ – Jesus was NOT a socialist or Communist like the left-wing would have you believe.”

The lawyer, known as a staunch supporter of Joel’s church and rumoured to be connected to many of Joel’s projects said that he had often flown in wonderful comfort in Joel’s personal jet.  “This man cares about people’s comfort; I am proof of that!” We showed him this snippet about Joel’s home and personal plane.  “Envy is an abomination in the Bible!” was the response.

Defending Joel’s 18,000 sq. foot mansion.

The lawyer supporting Joel gave an interview off camera.  He insisted his voice and profile be disguised.  He gave a reason for his caution, “Today, you cannot be assured of safety from far left liberals.  Look at Charlottesville, whites like me, cannot march without being attacked by the left-wing socialists and Communists.”

Joel’s little shack!  Modelled on the stable at Bethlehem.

“ The Interviewer asked the  lawyer asked about the opulence of Joel’s mansion. He responded with obvious disgust -“This is America, a country filled with opportunity.  Joel has worked hard for his money and has been blessed by God.  Poor people can be inspired by the prosperity that God has bestowed on Joel.  I, too, have a large mansion, but ,(and he chuckled) -not as big as Joel’s.  He’s a true Texan – loud and proud!”

Messing Up the Mega Church

The lawyer looked at his watch.  “Look, this is entering ‘extra fees’ time. Make your questions as long or as brief as you want!”  When asked by the interviewer why the mega church has not been filled with needy persons, the lawyer shook his head.  “You just don’t get it – do you?”  Jesus drove the money lenders out of the Temple!  Why?”  The interviewer responded, “Because they were cheating the poor?”

“Hell, No!” That’s the left-wing interpretation of the Holy Bible.  “He chased them up because they were messing up the sacred church of Jerusalem!”

“You mean Temple or Synagogue?”

“Well, let’s not bicker or words.  Jesus became a Christian.”

“No he didn’t?  Why don’t you read some of Pastor Joel’s books and educate that dumb left-wing Communist mind of yours?”
“I’m ending this interview.  Christians outnumber Jews!  There’s the fact.”

“Wouldn’t Jesus have opened his home in Nazareth if there had been a disaster?”

“You just don’t get it!  Jesus had a poor carpenter’s home with nothing for people to steal.  Now, Pastor Joel has been given wealth and riches by God.  He knows the Bible and he does not want them people to steal.  That, would be breaking the 7th Commandment! Wouldn’t it?”

“And people looking on at his 10.5 million dollar home, Mega-Church arena and his millions in the bank – surely, they are asking for help from someone representing Christ?

“Hell No!  I’ll say it again, Jesus was NOT a socialist!”

“People like them, refuse to believe in hard work.  Their faith, unlike that of Pastor Joel, does not believe that God wants everyone to be rich.  It’s simply an act of faith. ”

The interviewer was clearly agitated –

“But Pastor Joel has abundant riches – surely…..?

“I’m ending this left-wing non-Christian approach of you in the “Fake Media.”  People who deny the blessings of God on Pastor Joel are breaking the 10th Command -“Thou shalt not covet or envy thy neighbour.”

“I don’t know what else to say?”

“That’s a sign from God!  I listen to what God tells me.  If you don’t hear him, then, you are surely in the payroll of Satan.  You’ll get my bill in a few days.”

Liliana Bakhtiari was born in Atlanta Georgia and attended her first protest march when she was 8 years old.

Liliana’s father is a first generation Iranian immigrant that engaged in community service and acts of social justice.  Her mother put Liliana’s father through university where he became a pharmacist.  Working as a young person in her father’s pharmacy, Liliana was exposed to the poverty of Sweet Auburn, a district of Atlanta.  Her father made medicine affordable to people who could not access it.

She is now running for Atlanta City Council.

Facing Racism in School

In various interviews, Liliana reports the hurtful racism that she endured in school.  In high school racist taunts such as “how many goats would she be worth on her wedding day?”  Due to traditional practises, Liliana was not allowed to shave her legs or trim her eye brows.  These practises only added to the racism she endured.

University a Place of Shelter and Education

State of Georgia

At Georgia State University, Liliana felt freedom and equality amongst her peers. It was in Liliana’s nature to travel and volunteer.  To date, she has visited 22 countries in Africa, Asia, Australia and Central and South America.

Travelling was dedicated work that involved working with genocide and sex trafficking victims in Cambodia.

She has worked with torture victims and refugees in Thailand, Vietnam and Laos.   Liliana is the type of person who works physically, emotionally and mentally.  She is a ‘hands on’ person who has been involved in the building of houses and composting toilets.  On her journeys she became concerned about food accessibility and water scarcity.  Being involved in this type of work changes a person for ever.  I have personally known volunteers that could not adjust to their return to first world consumerism and the apathy towards developing countries and their economic problems.

Liliana Returns to Atlantic and Activism

Liliana was upset with the gap between her state of Georgia’s rich, middle class and very poor.  She noticed the plight of the homeless and lack of affordable housing.  Public transportation was in need of upgrading as were the needs of the jobless and senior citizens.

One of her ventures was serving on the board of Lost-n-Found Youth, a nonprofit organization that works with homeless LGBTI youths.

At home, Bakhtiari continued her activism, advocating for underserved communities and serving on the board of Lost-n-Found Youth, a nonprofit that works with homeless LGBTQ youths.

Running for Office

It is Liliana’s hope that if elected for public office she can make a difference to the problems that  she been actively engaged in.   Liliana knows that it will be challenging for her as a woman, a Muslim and a lesbian.

She states that  President Trump is a direct attack of all these three things that identify her.  He attacks women, Muslims and encourages the extreme right-wing evangelicals to discriminate against LGBTI persons through “religious freedom.”

I wish Liliana every success in her crusade against injustice as it affects minorities, the poor, seniors, the jobless, the homeless, Muslims and other religious minorities and lastly  the LGBTI community.

Whenever there are disasters, it is likely that most people will stop arguing about religion, politics, sexual orientation, gender, immigrants and other issues!  Some times, it brings out the best – the humanity of people suffering similar fates on a tiny planet.

In an America that is so divided on these issues – comes a hurricane that has hit Texas and other southern states.  People have lost their homes and belongings.

Animals are not involved in these human issues that separate people.  They simply love humans despite their foibles and worst natures.  Not that all people are bad – on the contrary, there are more good and decent people on this plant than evil mongers.

The above are images of people rescuing their animals.  If you can donate, please help these people and animals.  paula.

U.S Senator & Veteran Tammy Duckworth Blasts Trump

Trump got blasted by Senator and Veteran Tammy Duckworth over the removal of transgendered persons in the military.  Her tweet says it all:

Tammy and the Black Hawk helicopter

When I was bleeding to death in my Black Hawk, I didn’t care if the troops saving me were gay, straight, transgender, black, white or brown   @SenDuckworth

Senator Duckworth Elaborates Further:

‘All that mattered was they didn’t leave me behind,’ the statement continues. ‘If you are willing to risk your life for our country and you can do the job, you should be able to serve — no matter your gender identity or sexual orientation. Anything else is not just discriminatory, it is disruptive to our military and it is counterproductive to our national security.’

Tammy flew dangerous missions.

She ends her statement calling on members of Congress who oppose the ban to enact legislation to block it.

A Heroine is Hugged by President Obama

Trump Never Served: Never Lost Body Parts

“Bone Spurs” in his foot enabled Trump to escape the draft for the Vietnam War.  Sammy Duckworth lost her legs.  Trump has lost all semblance of humanity; Sammy is a hero to the nation.  She also has a conscience and was elected as a Senator.  In politics, unlike Trump, Tammy fights for minorities, the poor, the elderly and for health care for all.

Trump first announced his proposed ban at the end of July. It will cost the US $1 billion to ban transgender personnel and many people have spoken about both for and against it.

 Brutis

In 2007, Brutis was a 7 year old golden retriever who became a hero.  He noticed a coral snake slithering towards a young child. Risking his own life, Brutis snatched up the snake and was bitten.  The coral snake has deadly venom and Brutis took a near-deadly bite.  This hero was flown to Los Angeles where he received the National Dog Award.   I owned a retriver called Kelly but she brought a grass snake into my home!  I want to think that she knew it wasn’t deadly!

 Katrina

Hurricane Katrina was a miserable occurance for everyone down south, but inspiring stories of heroism have helped give victims something to smile about. That’s certainly the case with Katrina, the ironically named Katrina . The dog, who was later rescued herself by rescue teams, was honored at that year’s Genesis Awards with a standing ovation.

Shana

In a Fox News story titled “Half-Breed Wolf Dog Hero Rescues Elderly Owners From Snowstorm”, Shana, a half wolf dog/half German shepard , saved an elderly couple from a treacherous snow storm. When Shana found Norman and Eve trapped by snow, she went to work, diligently digging out a tunnel through which she would pull the couple back to the safety of their home.

Maya

You don’t get to be the 2008 Dog of the Year for nothing, and this pooch is no exception. Maya took home this year’s honors for courageously saving Angela Marcelino, her owner, from a vicious male attacker. The pitbull’s act of bravery earned some high praise from the Animal Miracle foundation, who was happy to report that “the pitbull breed can be hero dogs just like any other breed.”

 Moti

Named “Dog of the Year” in 2007.  the five year old German Shepherd took a bullet for his human family.  The Patel family home was invaded by a masked intruder.  Moti barked loudly and was shot by the burgular.  After discharging the firearm, the intruder fled leaving the Petri family safe.  Luckily, Moti made a full recovery.

Honey

Honey was the 2006 Dog of the Year, an award she earned by saving her owner from a violent car accident. When she and Michael Bosch found their SUV rolled over and stuck upside down in a deep ravine, Bosch was trapped and knew that Honey was his only hope. With all his strength,  he managed to release the dog and hope that she would somehow find help. Sure enough, the then 5 month old English Cocker Spaniel got the attention of a man about a half-mile away and brought him to the scene of the accident. Rescuers concluded that had it not been for this, Bosch would have died.

Napoleon

English bulldogs are not known for their swimming skills, so why would Napoleon swim out to rescue a burlap sack.  And why would he do so, when sounds for the sack were those of kittens?

There were six kittens, two didn’t make it, but it was a miracle that four cats owe their lives to a dulldog.

Hero

Gareth Jones, a paralyzed man got his wheelchair stuck in a muddy field.  He threw a rope to his four year old service dog.

Said Jones, “He didn’t let go until I was clear. He knew exactly what he was doing.”

 Eve

This Rotweiller pulled her owner, Kathie, a paralyzed parapalegic by the ankles from a burning, smoldering truck.

Upon pulling Kathie out, Eve proceeded to drag her

to a nearby ditch, just far enough away to avoid the explosion of her vehicle.

Eve was awarded the Stillman Award for her bravery.

Let us learn from these wonderful animals.  I have had two dogs – a wonderful golden retreiver called Kelly, and a Scottish Border Collie named Ricky Woster.

Australian MP Bob Katter is mad that LGBTI people stole the word gay.  He believes that there are no homosexuals in his political district.
MP who said there's no gays in his electorate wants the word gay back
It seems that many politicians are taking a ‘leaf out of Donald Trump’s book – be ridiculous, be rude and crude, be uneducated, be  a racist, an Islamophobe and a homophobe.  Just get attention and hope to get elected.
Here is one of his most ridiculous statements, “I would walk backwards from Bourke to Brisbane (1,000 km) if there were any gays in my electorate.”
If you are gay and living in his electorate – speak up.  We all need to see this homophobe walking backwards.

Many white men can trace their ancestry to white men who killed aborigines for sport or because they could escape the law on it.  Katter continues the hatred against other minorities such as the LGBTI community.

He’s the head of his own Katter’s Australia Party and told Sky News he was upset LGBTI people had stolen ‘the most beautiful word in the English language’.

The Odd Ball Kid at School!

Katter recalls falling in love with the word ‘gay’ in high school.  He had read “The Rape of the Lock” and held on to a character’s words, “then Belinda smiled and all the world was gay.”  He went on to say, “It just conjured up a beautiful image, it was the most beautiful word in the English language, and (homosexuals) said, ‘oh God we will take that word and we will have it as ours’,’ Katter said.

‘‘Oh they’ve got this thing called marriage, the other mob, we will take that too’. Well what else are they going to take? Are they going to take our freedom to say we don’t approve of what you are doing?”

Katter seemed very worried that LGBTI people would also claim marriage as they’re own. He said they would ‘take it’ away from straight people.

I Have News for You, Katter.

I feel that there are many fine and beautiful words in the English language.  These are words that inspire others to develop respect for all humans.  These are the words that encourage high school students to change prejudice, fear and bigotry into a higher standard of human life.   The words are :  equality, respect, civility, kindness, kinship, freedom, non-judgment, hospitality, inclusiveness, Christ-like, etc. etc.

Words need to be more than ‘beautiful sounding’ – they need to be lived.  The ‘gay’ rainbow flag represents the colours of human skin and each colour stands for an ideal.

Finally, let me tell you, Katter, that you are already ‘walking backwards’ – back to the cave back to barbarism back to an era when white ignorant men hunted and killed aboriginal people because they were different.  You are a disgrace to Australia.

And for anyone reading this blog, please note that Australia did not give their native people (aborigines) the vote until 1962!

Choose  House/pet Sitting Assignments Wisely

House and pet-sitting is a learning experience.  It is a trust factor between two parties.  It is a verbal and sometimes written contract that is monitored by a website.  Both parties can give positive or negative feedback.  The majority of times, it works wonderfully.  Strangers in the deal become friends.  We have gone back to house/pet sit several times in France, Australia and New Zealand.

This blog and other housesitting assignments – world wide – will be made into an ebook within the years 2017-2018.

The Hobby Farm Assignment Near Christchurch, N.Z

Out of the many assignments we took and loved in New Zealand, one stands out as a mistake.  We ‘bit off more than we could chew.’  A small part of the blame lay with the owners of a hobby farm.  There were two big dogs to become part of our care.  The female owner described the hobby farm as an hour’s work in the morning and another hour’s work at night.  The extremely hot Kiwi weather turned the assignment into a much longer work period.

“The animals and Birds take care of themselves!” Really?

This was part of the job description.   We were excited.  We love the countryside and nature.  We would be on a hobby farm surrounded by animals.  We would have a diversity of jobs – and all descriptions from the ad sounded like this would be an “easy-peasy, lemon squeezey” couple of weeks.  We were excited.

The Job Description Didn’t Match!

We were told that both the morning and night routines would take about an hour to fulfill – and – there were TWO of us!  The weather was in the 30C range, so it was essential to fill up the water bowls of the hens in their pens and fill up their food troughs.  Easy!  Right?

The numerous ducks, geese and turkeys would be let out of their separate pens in the morning and be herded back at night.  We would fill up their food troughs and they would use the creek for water.  Easy!  Right?

The sheep and cows would be fed a bale of hay and the hose would fill their water troughs.  Easy!  Right?

The pigs were fed left overs from local farmers who dropped it off.  Finally, we would water the vegetable gardens and walk the dogs.   Easy!  Right?

The Reality Sets In

The female owner walked us around the large property.  It was out in the country and the greenery soothed our souls.

Our first concern was the many hen pens – some hens were loose and we had to ‘find’ their eggs, luckily in the same bushes.  It was the lack of proper irrigation that made us gasp.  It soon became obvious that water for these hens were in bowls and most had been kicked over.

The owner apologized and stated that her brother was coming to New Zealand to set up a proper irrigation system.  That did not help us at the time.  “You may need to fill them up a little more in this hot weather,” said the owner casually.  That we did – constantly!  We were “house-bound” in 30 plus Celsius weather.  Hourly, we walked the property filling up the hens’ bowls, otherwise, the hens would be dead!

“Turkeys often Drop Dead!”

This was the owners statement as she picked up a dead turkey and put it in a nearby sack.  Between the three of us, we got the ducks into one pen, the geese into another and rounded up the turkeys that often flew up into the trees.  “They’ll come down,” laughed the owner.  Trish and I looked at one another.

Did I Tell You About the Hatchling Ducklings?   NO!

Next, we were introduced to young ducklings under a heat lamp.  “Oh, in a few days you can take them down to the creek and put them with the other ducks.”  We must have looked puzzled because she said, “Oh, today is Friday, let’s say you do the job on Monday!”

Did I Tell You About Hatchling Quail Legs?   Maybe?

We walked to another part of the barn.  “Did I tell you about the hatching Quail eggs?”

Quail chic and egg

“No.” We both tried to temper our surprise with enthusiasm.   She showed us how to monitor the temperature.

(Only one quail hatched and it died the same day).  When we emailed the owner, she told us not to worry; “it probably died of loneliness.”  When it died, Trish and I were in tears.  We felt responsible and we felt its loneliness.

Go with the Flow! Be Optimistic!

The first minute that we were left on our own, we walked the property.  We agreed that our workload would be more than two hours a day.  We discussed the great and modern home and a hot tub to greet us if our muscles were aching.  The dogs were friendly and had the run of the property – that was a plus.  The hatching ducklings looked perky and healthy.  We would bring them down to the creek in a wheelbarrow or cardboard box.  The watering of the hens would demand our attention, but maybe putting and wedging stones might keep their bowls from tipping.  However, with the blazing sun, water would evaporate quickly.  We decided we would stay on the property – read, walk, enjoy the animals and drink wine at night.

THE INSANITY OF TRUMP AFFECTS US ALL – If Trump nukes North Korea the fall out hits South Korea and Japan and Asian countries.  If N.K nukes the USA – the winds will bring nuclear devastation to Canada, Central America and off shore Islands.

TRUMP: The White House Child.

When Trump faces the reality of his popularity falling or companies abandoning his boards and councils: Economic, Scientific, Environmental, Health etc – Trump arranges a “Huge” rally in a Republican state.  The recent one was held in Arizona.  There were ads (real or not) that advertized $10 per hour for those willing to hold a sign.  I kid you not, but one white woman was holding a sign “Blacks for Trump.”  This photo has gone viral on the internet.

Trump’s Sanity?

James Clapper

General James Clapper (retired) and the U.K Ambassador to the USA (retired) have openly questioned Trump’s mental capacity to hold the office of President of the USA.  And CNN commentator Don Lemon has also publicly voiced this opinion.  What does it take for Republicans to move and impeach him on the Constitutional clause that allows a President to be removed for “unfit” reasons.

Former British ambassador to the U.S. Peter Westmacott

You Can’t Argue with Stupid

I went on Bannon’s Breithbart News site, just to refresh my mind about the Trump supporters and their thinking capacity.  There was an article on George and Amal Clooney giving one million dollars to the South Poverty Law Association that fights prejudice.  Here are a few comments.

“Amal = a male.”      “Clooney only thinks of himself.”

“Clooney and his money makes him dangerous and selfish.”

I listed the countless agencies that this couple supports:  They cover poverty, children, war victims, women’s needs, UNICEF, The United Way (that helps all Americans).

The response I got was …..”garbage mouth.”     “Ignorant liberal.”

“He does not help Vets and American causes.”

Sitting in a public bus – KKK members

Another racist comment was about ‘BLACK” athletes, rich and disrespecting America.  I asked what percentage?  And was there a written law that ‘BLACKS” should not advance in sports.  Then, I reminded the writer that “BLACKS” are doctors, surgeons, lawyers, dentists, pilots, lab technicians, nurses and workers in all industries.

America Needs to Mobilize

In the numbers of Martin Luther King, Jnr., America needs to march and protest the hatred directed towards minorities:  Mexicans, LGBTI persons, Jews, Muslims, Women, etc. etc.   We must learn from history.  Hitler was not taken seriously, until he had amassed an army of Nazis.   It needs to be done NOW.

It’s the summer of 2017 and we were housesitting and looking after a wonderful Great Dane.  His name was Sherman Octavius.  He was as big as “a Sherman tank” and had the regal breeding of a Roman Emperor.  LOL.  Our housesitting took place in a charming town near Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.  This gave us a great opportunity to take a side-trip to Niagara Falls – less than an hour’s drive away.

Sherman shared the home with Bacon and Eggs – two guinea pigs.  They had three large cages with entrance through each one of them.

The Great Dane’s ancestry goes back to Germany and he is one of the tallest dog breeds.  The record holder for the tallest dog is given to Zeus (who died in 2014 at the age of 5 years.)  In many countries, Great Danes have been hunters of boars.

Sherman the Gentle Giant

Our first encounter with Sherman occured on a pre-visit.

We heard his mighty bark before we saw his intimidating size.  This first meeting just introduced us to his regal appearance, strength and his protective nature.  In reality, two little girls under the age of eight play with him without any harm.

Sherman turned 9 years old and we celebrated with him.  He was such an easy dog to take for a walk.  Everything about him was ‘easy’ and he just relaxed  stretching his long and muscular body on coaches on the ground and upper house level. Here is a picture of another Great Dane – not knowing where to put his big body. LOL.

Not a Water Dog

Not a ‘water dog’ but more of a ‘couch potato.’

Sherman walked around the pool as we swam. Like the tall Ridgebacks that we looked after in Western Australia, this Great Dane did not get his feet wet!

Great Dane’s Life Expectancy

Sherman was 9 years old in the summer of 2017.  He has exceeded his life span of between 6-8 years.  When I researched Great Danes, it made me sad when I read, “Great Danes have been known to reach 10 years of age.”

Pet-Sitting is a Privilege

It was a pleasure to meet and live with Sherman for a couple of weeks.  Like people, we can learn from animals.  The most outstanding virtue of dogs is their unconditional love of humans.  If you are looking for a dog, may I suggest the humane society.  It breaks my heart to see a beautiful dog or cat caged when it is so willing to give its heart and soul to a potential owner.

Many years ago,  Trish and I,  bought a fridge magnet, “Virginia is for Lovers.”   We were on our honeymoon, and it seemed to spell out everything important for us.  That was back in 2006. We had just legally married in wonderful Canada.

Enter the dark years of 2016/2017 and the Darth Vader of Politics, Donald Trump – got elected (still short of the 3 million extra votes that Hillary legally attained).

In the weeks of August 2017 (and before) the world has witnessed the hateful marches of White Supremacists and the KKK.

Marches Planned on the Scale of Martin Luther, Jnr.

Today, August 22, 2017, there are potential marches  world-wide against all vile forms of hatred.   The call is for peace and justice for all.

Do you part – however-small.  What we personally do today – impacts on future generations.

Virginia Takes a Stand

I  am overjoyed  that the State of Virginia broadened the original slogan, “Virginia is for Lovers” to……………

To Prime Minister Turnbull: If USA States Had Voted on Segregation

Turnbull is despicable.  He’s that kind of person that hides behind the “Mother’s Skirt” of politics.  He is like Pontius Pilate that symbolically ‘washed his hands’ before the angry Jewish crowd and there was a victim – Jesus!

The victims of Turnbull’s ‘hand washing’ may be loving LGBT persons who simply want to marry the person of their choice.  In the Bible, beginning at Genesis, time after time, it is “one man and many wives” and sometimes, concubines.  And back then (and now) right-wing Christian used the Bible as justification for segregation!!!

Martin Luther King, Jnr. did not wait until equality was given to Afro-Americans.  He marched peacefully and suffered as police and white supremacists smahed the faces and bodies of his marchers.  He watched as police dogs viciously bit people who only wanted to use public washrooms of their choice and sit with whites in public dining areas!

Federal Governments Must Ensure Equality for  ALL Citizens

John Kennedy and his brother, Robert, started the process of equality for all Americans.  It was, however, President Johnson that called out the National Guard to safeguard James Meredith, the Afro-American, that wanted to attend Little Rock, Arkansaw, University.  It was the National Guard that stood by as determined Afro-American high school kids walked the gammit of hate calling white peers.  The hatred and fear was so great that the National Guard remained until these students finished high school and university.

No Post/Mailing Vote in the Southern States!

If President Johnson had resorted to the spineless vote of southern states, there would still have been segregation for further years or even now!

If you look at the civil war countries: Rawanda, Serbia, the Sudan, South Africa etc: Peace only came from the intervention of those in the battle for human rights or pressure from agencies such as the U.N and Amnesty International.

Turnbull will go down on record as a spineless Prime Minister.  The LGBTI community and its supporters must expose and defeat him!

“What do we want?”

“Human Equality!”

“When do we want it?”
“Right Now!:”

FOR THE RECORD

P.S  For the record, it is gay couples world-wide that are adopting children of all races.  What is deplorable, is the number of “Christian” adoption agencies that, on “religious objections” will not let gay couple adopt. Shame!   “Jesus wept.”

How many Nazis or Right-Wing Christians are doing the above?

Point No.2 – Mr. Turnbull Look at Science!

In March 2016, the World Psychiatrist Association, a scientific body of over 250,000 psychiatrists world-wide in 181 countries wrote to the U.N and world leaders.  They stated that homosexuality CANNOT be changed and is therefore NOT a choice.  Now, Mr. Prime Minister, give homosexualities a choice in whom they can marry!

“In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill.” – “The First Global Revolution”, A Report by the Council of the Club of Rome by Alexander King and Bertrand Schneider 1991.

Have you ever thought something is wrong?

Have you ever thought you were being lied to by your politicians, government, teachers?

Have you ever thought you were being manipulated by the television?

Have you ever wondered about how the world really works?

Have you ever caught the media in a lie?

Do you want to know how money really works?

Have you ever wondered what the elite of this world believe and where they are taking us?

Here you will have an opportunity to at least get a first glimpse at the true nature of the world and how we have been misled and deceived at every level.

The Globalist Agenda represents a plan to bring all of Earth’s inhabitants under the control of a single, global state.

There is a small, but powerful group of individuals who are the architects and instigators behind the formation and implementation of this “New World Order”.

Using their influence through international organizations such as the IMF, World Bank, the Royal Institute of International Affairs (RIIA), the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), the Trilateral Commission, the Bilderberg Group, the United Nations, NATO, and hundreds of other non-governmental organizations, the objective of these internationalists is nothing less than the subjugation of everyone on the planet as servants to a one world government (servants means slaves)

The first opposition to globalization is that it increases inequality in the world.  There are multiple cases where globalization has increased inequality within states; for example: when Russia integrated into the globalized markets, there was an increase of 21.8% of people living on or below two dollars per day, whilst a select minority became richer from the same integration (Stiglitz, 2002: 153).

. A government run by the same small group of elite that have ruled the masses for a very long time under various guises.

These elite are the descendents of those that ruled for at least the past 2 centuries – kings and queens, bankers, robber barrons, priests, and assorted subservient oligarchs and media representatives

. Their desire for a return to a one world feudal state should come as no surprise to anyone who has read a little history. It is their nature after all.

In the modern manifestation these people can be seen as kings and queens, international bankers, the military industrial complex and their servants – the corporate CEOs, scientists, professors, lawyers, heads of NGO’s, politicians, and media leaders – all of whom the elite control partially or completely.

Sad but true – you can buy or brainwash most national bankers, soldiers, beaurocrats, CEOs, scientists, lawyers, NGOs, politicians and journalists to say what you want them to say.

If you allow their plans to proceed, you will see how under the guise of keeping us all safe with anti-terrorist laws, the globalists will see all citizens gradually and incrementally lose their civil liberties preventing any dissent against either the government or the ruling elite who give the government their orders.

The purpose of this website  http://www.globalistagenda.org

is to first provide a concise base of knowledge explaining the historical origins and mechanisms of the “one-world government” plan, and second, to provide avenues of resistance and methodologies for survival within the Chaos purposely imposed within this plot to enslave all of humanity.

“We are not going to achieve a new world order without paying for it in blood as well as in words and money.”
– Arthur Schlesinger, Jr., in “Foreign Affairs”, July/August 1995.

What would you do if you knew all the things we know, would you stand up for truth,
or would you turn away too? And then what if you saw all of the things that’s wrong
would you stand tall and strong or would you turn and walk away?

– Musician Paris from his song “What Would You Do?” featuring Pink

Yes, the ‘big kid’ in the W.H had to ignore the advice of scientists and ordinary common sense human being!

President Donald Trump took in the solar eclipse from the White House balcony, first looking up at the phenomenon without the necessary glasses to protect his eyes as an aide shouted: “Don’t look.”

Trump had solar eclipses glasses but initially neglected to wear them as he squinted at the sun with wife Melania and son Barron by his side.  Notice, that Melania wore sunglasses and young Barron didn’t know whether to copy man or follow his stupid dad.

It would appear that Trump was daring the sun to eclipse HIM!

Obama certainly out shines Trump

According to the White House pool report, an aide warned “don’t look” at the president as he gestured toward the sun. Moments later, as the peak of the eclipse approached, Trump put on protective eyewear.

Looking directly at the sun can cause permanent eye damage, the symptoms of which can take a few days to show up. Those include “dim” sight, loss of central vision, distorted vision, altered colour vision and aftered images.

An apples to apples comparison  from CNN International News

Dr. Nanette Gartrell, one of the study’s authors, said the aim was to do a real population-based, apples to apples comparison. “It is the only study to compare same-sex and different-sex parent households with stable, continuously coupled parents and their biological offspring,” said Gartrell. This study tried to compensate for the shortcomings of previous studies, which recruited same-sex parent families and could thus establish a certain selection bias. “It’s been a goal of ours to do a nationally representative survey in which we could do this very carefully matched study,” she said

Using the National Survey of Children’s Health on emotional and physical well being, Gartrell and her colleagues matched 95 same-sex female parent households to 95 different-sex parent based on the following characteristics:

  • Parents’ age
  • Parents’ level of education
  • Whether parents were born in the United States
  • Family residence (urban or rural)
  • Child’s age
  • Child’s race
  • Child’s gender
  • Whether the child was born in the United States or elsewhere

No differences in children’s outcomes

The study found that there were no differences in the children when it came to their general health, their emotional difficulties, their coping behaviors and their learning behaviors. What the study found to be more indicative predictors of these behaviors were the relationships between the parents, the parents and child, and parenting stress.

Talking to kids about same-sex marriage

The study did note that lesbian parents seem to exhibit higher levels of parenting stress, which Gartell attributed to perceived homophobia. “Parents feel pressured to justify the quality of their parenting more than their heterosexual counterparts. We also suspect and feel that more study is warranted, but the cultural spotlight on same-sex parenting may be part of the stress,” she said.

Those against same-sex parenting have pointed to studies that have found gay parents to have a negative impact on childhood outcomes, such as lower levels of income, and poorer mental and physical health

The changing face of family

Gartell said studies like those didn’t compensate for the fact that they were comparing children from same-sex couples who were not continuously coupled. Rather, those studies looked at children from same-sex families who experienced family upheaval such as divorce, adoption or foster care and compared them to children from stable households with different-sex parents.

Join the conversation

See the latest news and share your comments with CNN Health on Facebook and Twitter.

The current study only looked at lesbian households, because when households were finally matched and controlled for continuous relationships, there were too few male same-sex households.

Gartrell said this is by no means the final study to be done on same-sex parenting. “We still have so much to learn and find out about different types of families,” she said.

The Impact of Religion on the City (and Country)

Henry VIII (1491-1547)

Understanding these facts help to explain many of the religious churches, the beheading of Henry VIII’s wives and the imprisonment and execution in the Tower of London and other public London places. Statues and plaques point out the perils of being a Catholic or a Protestant.

In the 1st Century AD, Britain had its own set of religious icons: Pagan gods of the earth and Roman gods of the sky. By the 4th century, Christianity was still a minor faith.  It was the Viking invasion of 871 AD that destroyed monasteries and killed priests.  Alfred, the Christian King of Wessex won the battle over the Vikings and build more religious centres.  In 1066, William the Conqueror extended the Roman Catholic religion by building churches and monasteries. In the Medieval times that followed, Christianity was embedded in the minds and souls of ordinary people.  Pilgrimages to shrines in England and Europe became a way of devotion.

The Reformation began in Europe (early 1500s) and made its way to England.  Martin Luther and others attacked the Roman Catholic Church for some of its abuses.

A Civil War, Henry VIII and the Matter of His Divorce

Henry VIII was the son of Henry VII who united England after a bloody civil war.  It was important for VIII to have a son and have a stable throne.

Catherine of Aragon (1485-1536), daughter of King Ferdinand and Isabella of Spain

His first wife, Catherine of Aragon, gave him a daughter and no sons were forthcoming.  Catherine’s uncle was the Pope during Henry’s reign.  He did not take kindly to having his niece divorced.  He refused.  Kings/Queens and royalty usually had no problem granting divorces.  Henry VIII’s own sister was divorced from a Scottish king.

Severing Ties with the Roman Church

Anne Boleyn c. 1501 – 19 May 1536) she was beheaded on charges of adultery

Henry VIII divorced Catherine, married Anne Boleyn and made himself the Head of the newly formed Church of England.

The present Queen Elizabeth II, like every monarch since Henry VIII is head of the Church of England.

Queen Elizabeth II

The Tower: Catholics and Protestants Imprisoned.

Tower of London

It should be understood that being a Catholic or a Protestant did not result in imprisonment or execution.

It was treason and death for Catholics or Protestants who rebelled or tried to overthrow the monarchs.

Queen Mary, known as “Bloody Mary”1516 -1558

When Henry VIII died, his daughter Mary, (Catherine of Aragon’s child) tried to convert England back to Roman Catholicism.  Many Protestants were imprisoned, killed or martyred for their faith.

Elizabeth 1

Queen Elizabeth I (1558-1603)

When Queen Mary died, Queen Elizabeth I, (a Protestant) ascended the throne.  She had witnessed the religious upheaval and stated that she did not want to “make a window into people’s souls.”  However, she put to death for treason,  those Catholics who plotted against her throne.  She did not spare her kin and her cousin, Mary, Queen of Scots, was beheaded.

Today in 2017, visitors to London can see great architectural churches:  Westminster Abbey (where monarchs are crowned),

In St. Paul’s Cathedral,  many Princes/Princesses and royalty are married.  The Roman Catholic major church is Westminster Cathedral, where the Cardinal is the head prelate resides.  Along with these are religious places of worship for the majority of world religions.

The 17th Duke of Norfolk with Queen Elizabeth II.
One of his ancestors, the Duke of Norfolk was executed in the tower by another Elizabeth – Elizabeth I

While most of the royal family are Protestants, the Duke of Norfolk is a Roman Catholic member of the royal family.  This is a tradition that Dukes and Duchess of Norfolk are Roman Catholic.

Paula here.  Of course, not only lesbians love cats!  The title allows lesbians to come to this webpage – sneaky, eh?  However, I did see a t-shirt that read, “9 out of 10 cats prefer lesbians.”   LOL

Macavity- The Mystery Cat

                          McCavity

Macavity’s a Mystery Cat: he’s called the Hidden Paw

For he’s the master criminal who can defy the Law.

He’s the bafflement of Scotland Yard, the Flying Squad’s despair:

For when they reach the scene of crime — Macavity’s not there!

Macavity, Macavity, there’s no one like Macavity,

He’s broken every human law, he breaks the law of gravity.

His powers of levitation would make a fakir stare,

And when you reach the scene of crime — Macavity’s not there!

You may seek him in the basement, you may look up in the air —

But I tell you once and once again,

Macavity’s not there!

Macavity’s a ginger cat, he’s very tall and thin;

You would know him if you saw him, for

his eyes are sunken in.

His brow is deeply lined with thought, his

head is highly domed;

His coat is dusty from neglect, his whiskers are uncombed.

He sways his head from side to side, with movements like a snake;

And when you think he’s half asleep, he’s always wide awake.

Macavity, Macavity, there’s no one like Macavity,

For he’s a fiend in feline shape, a monster of depravity.

You may meet him in a by-street, you may see him in the square —

But when a crime’s discovered, then Macavity’s not there!

The Naming of Cats by T.S Eliot: A Poem to Delight Lesbians

The Naming of Cats is a difficult matter,
It isn’t just one of your holiday games;
You may think at first I’m as mad as a hatter
When I tell you, a cat must have THREE DIFFERENT NAMES

First of all, there’s the name that the family use daily,
Such as Peter, Augustus, Alonzo, or James,
Such as Victor or Jonathan, George or Bill Bailey —
All of them sensible everyday names.

There are fancier names if you think they sound sweeter,
Some for the gentlemen, some for the dames:
Such as Plato, Admetus, Electra, Demeter —
But all of them sensible everyday names.

But I tell you, a cat needs a name that’s particular,
A name that’s peculiar, and more dignified,
Else how can he keep up his tail perpendicular,
Or spread out his whiskers, or cherish his pride?

Of names of this kind, I can give you a quorum,
Such as Munkstrap, Quaxo, or Coricopat,
Such as Bombalurina, or else Jellylorum —
Names that never belong to more than one cat.

But above and beyond there’s still one name left over,
And that is the name that you never will guess;
The name that no human research can discover —
But THE CAT HIMSELF KNOWS, and will never confess.

When you notice a cat in profound meditation,
The reason, I tell you, is always the same:
His mind is engaged in a rapt contemplation
Of the thought, of the thought, of the thought of his name:

His ineffable effable
Effanineffable
Deep and inscrutable singular Name.

To Learn: Kids Question Skin Colour and Clothes Differences

I am not sure where you live in this big world.  Do you live in a city, town or village?  Do you go to school with kids with different skin colours and who wear different clothes to you?  The word “diversity” means that people are different!  We can become friends with people different from us.  It is a great way to become kind and mature.

Human are Meant to Be Different

All finger prints are different

As soon as we are born, we have a different set of finger prints to everyone else in the world.  We start our lives being different from family members and the kids that we sit or play with in school.

Zebras Have Different Stripes

No zebra has the same stripes as another – diversity in nature

Like human finger prints, no two zebras have the same stripes.A zebra’s stripes act like an equine (horse) fingerprint – each individual’s pattern is unique. Foals recognise their mothers by the pattern of their stripes, as well as by scent and call.

Kids Often Have Choices

Just as you had no choice in getting a different set of finger prints to everyone else, so you are different to other people.   They are different to you.

All nationalities need to havefriends and people whounderstand them.

Imagine this!  At this very moment, there are  babies being born throughout the world.  Some will have a different skin colour than you.  Some babies will be born into families with different religions: Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Seik etc.   They don’t have a choice of either their skin colour or their religion.

Clothing: It’s Different Throughout the World.

Birds, flowers and animals have clothing on their bodies.  It can be soft petals of flowers, or bright feathers or colourful fur.  The world is a place of great beauty and differences.  How boring it would be if all birds were just black and white.  People in different countries wear different clothes.

Co-exist means to live together in peace

Sometimes, a particular religion may ask its members to dress a certain way.  Everyone is proud of the clothes they wear or they should be!

Differences are a Chance to Learn New Things

If we all dressed the same and eat the same food, life would not be as exciting.  Already we eat different foods:

Chinese food, Indian food, Middle Eastern Food, Irish Stew, French pastries, Italian spaghetti and pizza.  This is just a few foods that people different than your culture have introduced to the world.

School for Everyone

Every country in the world sends kids to school.   This is one of the biggest things that we have in common.  Does it matter that a student has a different skin colour, speaks a different language at home or eats different food from you?

Most students want to go to school in order to have skills that will get them a good job for the rest of their lives.  School is a great place to ask questions and to learn about different cultures.  No culture is better than another.  If the Romans had stayed home and not visited places like Israel (then Palestine) they would never have brought the bread/crust/base for pizza.

They simply added ingredients to it.   If explorers like Marco Polo had never visited China, we would not have fireworks or Chinese food.

Learn Respect for All Cultures

You may have a different religion or wear different clothes at school, but respect must be given to differences.  There is so much to learn from people who are different.  You may not agree with everything they say or do, but it is their beliefs and respect is very important to them.

Respect for others is a sign that you are growing up in a mature way.   Just imagine if you went to live in another country, kids would be questioning what religion you have, and why you do the way you do.  Be kind.

ROUNDUP-7-articleLargeWhen people think of New Zealand, they may think of a land of sheep and the beautiful scenery that was the background to “Lord of the Rings.”  Others may praise New Zealand as the first country to give women the vote and gays and lesbians are waiting with positive expectation of equality of marriage as being a upcoming reality.

Now, let me introduce you to another wonder- the lesbian sisters comedy act named after them – The Topp Twins.  Their names are Jools and Lynda and their surname is Topp.

New Zealanders have enjoyed their country music-singing comedy act for over twenty-five years.  Their creation of iconic Kiwi characters were so successful that they were given their own television show.

In April 2009, their feature film UNTOUCHABLE GIRLS was released.  After just four weeks at the box office, it made over one million dollars.  Their success prior to 2009 was the release of musical albums:  Flowergirls and cowgirls, Grass Highway and Two Timing.  They sing a combination of country-folk music flavoured and mixed with comedy and yodeling.

Joles and Lynda are openly lesbian and have fun playing male roles as “Ken and Ken.”

They are often on tour – so go to the internet and look at their itinerary.  You might also like to visit their web page and purchase their film or albums/cds.  They are the Topps!

The marriage is believed to be the first female same-sex Hindu wedding to take place in Leicester, U.K. between  Miriam Jefferson and Kalavati Mistry.  It was a colourful ceremony as both wore traditional red and white Hindu wedding colours.

They also wore floral garlands and ‘mangala sutra’, which is a necklace traditionally tied around the bride’s neck to show she is now married.

Different Birth Places – One Love

Kalavati is from Leicester while Miriam is a native of Texas, U.S.A  Kalavati grew up in a traditional Hindu household.  She came out to her family and wanted an Hindu wedding.

Miriam met Kalvati in the year 2000 while when the English woman came to America for working purposes.

One Wedding is NOT Enough!

Miriam grew up in a Jewish household.  Earlier in 2017, both women had a Jewish wedding in San Antonio, Texas.  This is the home town of Miriam.

Love is the foundation of all religions, and both women have found this gift in their life together.  Congratulations.  paula.

On August 9, 2017, the GLBTQ Legal Advocates & Defenders (GLAD) and the National Center for Lesbian Rights (NCLR) filed a lawsuit challenging Donald Trump’s proposed transgender military ban.

Lawyers filed Doe v. Trump in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on behalf of five transgender service personnel.

The lawsuit has a team that between them has nearly 60 years of service in the Air Force, Coast Guard, and Army.  In an interview with the media,Shannon Minter, a transgender legal expert and NCLR Legal Director, stated: ‘Trump’s directive to exclude transgender people from military service has created a tidal wave of harms that have already been felt throughout our armed services. Transgender service members have been blindsided by this shift and are scrambling to deal with what it means for their futures and their families.’

Stop the Ban Before It Becomes Law

The lawsuit mentions a brief history of transgender persons who have served in the military starting with the War of Independence against Britain.

It further argues of the inconsistency of policy when President Trump can on his own bias overturn the June 2016 ruling of the Department of Defense.  In that ruling transgendered persons were allowed to serve their country openly.   Another argument is that Trump may have violated the Fifth Amendment that allows Equal Protection and Due Process for all American citizens.  Biased personal tweets by Trump have now become policy even though there are three branches of government and all must be in union.  Is this Trump’s idea of keeping his right-wing conservative Evangelical base.

.The Insult to Transgender Military Personnel

Jennifer Levi, Director of GLAD’s is on record as saying –“The Commander in Chief has said that transgender service members — people who have served our nation with honor and distinction — are no longer welcome to serve.” ‘This unjustifiable reversal of policy is devastating to these soldiers and harmful to our country.  These plaintiffs put their lives on the line every day for all of us. We can’t afford to lose a single one of them.’

Donald Trump’s rating have fallen well below that of any previous U.S president.  This is just one more “nail in his coffin.”

THE FEMME LESBIAN: A MATCH FOR ANY BUTCH and OTHERS

Paula here.   This is 2017 and More than 760 million people now live in countries where same-sex marriage is legal. Now to Wikipedia for a list of marriage equality countries.    As of 4 August 2017, same-sex marriage is legally recognized (nationwide or in some parts) in the following countries: Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Denmark, Finland, France, Iceland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands,[ New Zealand,[Norway, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom, the United States[ and Uruguay. The laws in Germany and Malta are not yet in force. Same-sex marriage is likely to soon become legal in Taiwan, after a constitutional court ruling in May 2017.Polls show rising support for legally recognizing same-sex marriage in the Americas, Australia and most of Europe. However, as of 2017, South Africa is the only African country where same-sex marriage is recognized. Taiwan would become the first country in Asia to legalize same-sex marriage if the Civil Code is amended. Israel and Armenia recognise same-sex marriages performed overseas for some purposes.[(Wikipedia)

DIVERSITY

Gender in most societies is a smörgåsbord of different styles, looks and behaviours.  Let’s look at straight women and they exhibits all of the above straights.  Now, let’s look at lesbians – again, they are as different as ‘chalk and cheese.’

THE FEMME LESBIAN

If you are a typical “butch” it can be said that probably your looking mannerisms may be in sharp contrast to those of straight or femme women. Of course, there is the  androgenous look – just to keep people guessing.  By typical butch, I am looking at a ‘label’ – you know, short hair, pants, jackets, strong masculine shoes and no make up!

Portia de Rossi

Of course, this is a label, but let’s play along with it and contrast it to the ‘femme’ lesbian.  She has to be strong and cautious.  Here are some of my thoughts.  (I am often wrong).  I have listed them as “femme problems.”

  1. HIT ON BY MEN

Here’s an image of Portia di Rossi, wife of ellen de Generes.

Portia and her wife, ellen

If she was at an office party or straight bar, men would be drawn to her like ‘a moth to a candle.’  Femmes can declare that they are lesbians or have a set of responses to men in which they do not have to compromise themselves by lying.

2. “Oh, You’re Too Pretty to Be a Lesbian!”

People who state this do not release that they are giving an insult disguised as a compliment.  Television and magazines have shown dykes on bikes in Gay Pride marches and that is mainly their only reference.  A few may have seen Portia on ellen’s show and think she is the exception or she married ellen for money.  Portia is quite rich in her own right.

3. Femmes Get More of “You Haven’t Met the Right Man, Yet!”

People are unlikely to say to a muscular dyke on a bike that she hasn’t met the right man, yet!  However, lesbian femmes are more of ‘an easy target.’

Here is a pretty woman wearing a dress, high heels and make up.

The person is thinking, “She looks like a straight woman, so maybe I’ll question her.  Maybe, I’ll nudge her in THAT direction!”

4. Maybe You’re Bi-Sexual

Moms are more likely to say this remark in the hopes that there’s a 50:50 chance the daughter concerned might date a man and fall in love.  Moms often have the notion that ‘men have to take care of women’ and it is easier that way for a daughter.

5. Femmes in a Lesbian Bar or on a Dating Site

A beautiful dress wearing femme may be studied for a long while before butches will make a move.  Or a butch may be unsure if the femme comes up and asks for a dance/drink, etc.  One of the first ‘red signs’ in a butch’s mind is “Is this woman straight or bi-sexual? Is this woman cheating hubby on the side?   Is this a straight woman seeking ‘new’ adventures?”  Femmes constantly have to keep ‘COMING OUT’ to everyone around them.  One femme I knew more a “Yep, I’m lesbian’” badge.

6. Femmes with Femmes (NO LABELS, PLEASE)

Like you, I am sure you have met femmes in partnership with femmes, and butches in partnership with butches.

There are couples who can switch back and forth.  I knew one lesbian pastor who would wear a butch outfit one week and a femme garb the next.

The secret is just being yourself.

The largest of ‘deliverance’ African Christian churches has branches throughout Great Britain. It started in Nigeria.

One of the methods of ‘deliverance’ for gays is a ‘starvation course.’  Other deliverances occur as happenings before a person is born:

if you were conceived in adultery or fornication

▪if your parents contemplated aborting you

▪if your mother had a difficult pregnancy

Some deliverances are clearly a matter for professional medical specialists:

▪if you were abused as a child

▪if you have been raped or molested

▪if you have unnatural movements in parts of your body

▪if you have inexplicable loss of memory

▪if you are afraid of being alone

▪if you have been chronically ill all your life

▪if you are extremely uncomfortable around people

▪if you have chronic headaches or mental confusion

▪if you have emotional disturbances

▪if you hear strange voices

▪if you are constantly duped

The Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry, with a branch in Anfield, is putting LGBTI people through a three-day starvation, forcing them to be without food or water.

An undercover journalist posed as a member of the public questioning their sexuality.

The church’s assistant pastor told the Liverpool Echo reporter being gay is ‘biologically wrong’ and by going through the therapy would ‘allow him to marry and have children’.

‘Brother Michael’ said in order for him to be ‘cured’, he had to ‘humble his soul’ by starving himself and not drinking water for 24 hours before taking part in a weekly prayer session.

A full three-day course is also offered with no warning or call for a physical or medical examination.

The three-day course involves staying at the church, praying for up to three hours at a time without eating or drinking until the third day – when they would be given ‘fruits from the church’.

How much is the course?    The amount is NOT stated.

The Pastor is a Medical Trainee Surgeon.

The Pastor

The Church

Dr Desmond Sanusi, the church’s pastor, has claimed Brother Michael is not acting under his guidance.

He has also said in 20 years of offering this therapy, ‘nobody has dropped dead’.  (But what serious psychological problems have occurred and if the deliverance didn’t work – is there guilt and  shame and self-worthlessness?)

African Practises – ?

During the one-one session, Brother Michael referred to being gay as a ‘deceit of Satan’ and claimed people only identify as gay to get ‘celebrity’ status.

‘I thank God that you have come to where you think you will get help and I know you are going to get the help,’ he said.

‘With the help of God, with prayer, with praying, with the help of God you will have children. You will marry and have your children.’

Note these ‘deliverances’ are ‘mumbo jumbo’ African rites – some are such that a person has no control over (the first two).   Some problems need medical help and psychiatric counselling and I’ve outlined these in red.

Other Practises Need Medical Counselling and Therapy/Drugs

▪if you grew up in a war zone

▪if you have been ridiculed all your life

Some Deliverances are Just Strange or Could be a Money Making Scam:

▪if you have a history of sexual perversion in your bloodline (adultery, rape, incest, etc)

▪if you have been accident-prone all your life

▪if you have a history of poverty in your life and/or in your family

▪if you are intensely jealous of others

▪if you were involved with the occult

▪if you are attracted to, or have consulted palm readers, satanic advisors and psychics

▪if you should be a winner but you are failing/▪if your trials have refused to come to an end

▪if your inputs and efforts fail to get success

▪if you were formerly rich but suddenly turned poor

 Satanic Deliverances

▪if you are being governed by a power contrary to your will

▪if you observed that you are bound by sin or Satan

▪if you are operating under evil covenants and curses

▪if you are constantly harassed by evil spirits

▪if you have an evil trend of problems in your family

Paula’s comments:   These churches frighten me because they should be turning people that obviously have mental/emotional and physical problems over to the medical profession.  The “Satanic’ deliverances also connect to the need for professional help.  Again, people who look back to Mountain Sinai – perhaps, 3-4,000 years ago and practise ‘deliverances’ from that era should be stopped.  Back then, there was NO cures for mental or physical illnesses.   Is this a big money grabber at the expense of people who need professional help?

In March 2016, the World Psychiatric Association wrote a declaration to the United Nations and world leaders.  This scientific body of over 250,000 psychiatrists in 181 countries stated that homosexuality CANNOT be reversed.  It is a normal expression of sexuality.  And since it cannot be changed, it is NOT a choice.

Donald Trump in his complete ignorance (of most things) has failed to honour transgendered persons who have served in the past and who are bravely serving the USA now.   Here is a story of Deborah Sampson.

Carving of Deborah Sampson

Deborah was born December 27, 1760 and died at the age of 67 on April 19, 1827.  At the age of 22, Deborah Sampson disguised herself as a man and served in the Continental Army  The year was 1782.  Was she a transgendered person or simply a woman who wanted the adventures and money afforded to men.? After her honourable discharge, Deborah married Benjamin Gannett. She was 25 years of age at the time.  Was this a marriage of love or the way for most women to be monetarily supported and protected?  Did she marry to have children?  They had three children and they adopted a child to live on their farm.

Massachusetts, U.S.A

Herman Mann, Sampson’s biographer describes her as  5 ft. 7 inches, which at the time, was taller than most women and certainly considered the height of a man.  She enlisted under the male name of Timothy Thayer and luckily for her, there were no physical examinations for recruits. They simply needed to have front teeth and the ability to load a musket.  These things Deborah could perform.

Acting Like a Male Soldier

Deborah enlisted to fight against the British forces in the American War of Independence.  She hid her breasts by wrapping a bandage around her chest region.  The bandage was hidden by her uniform.  Deborah had blemish free skin but her overall look was masculine and serious.

Bravery Under Fire

From my research, Deborah was fired upon and several bullets entered her leg.  She refused medical attention and removed one musket ball with a knife and stitched herself with a needle.  A second musket ball remained lodged and she never was able to remove it.

True Identity

After having served bravely for a year and showing extreme bravery by removing a musket ball by herself, Deborah fell ill in 1783.  A doctor was summoned and her true identity as a woman became known.  Rather than being shamed and kicked out of the army, Deborah was given an honourable discharge.  She was given sufficient money to travel home.

A Feisty Woman After Army Service

In 1792, At the age of 33, Deborah petitioned the Massachusetts State Legislature for the pay which the army had withheld from her because she had been revealed as a female. She was awarded a pension plus interest when she had been discharged in 1783 (9 years previous).

A Woman For All Women

In 1802, at the age of 42, Deborah began giving lectures about her wartime service.  Each lecture praised the traditional role of women, but at the end of her presentation, she left the stage and returned in her army uniform.  She earned money but also justified her army service.

She was a friend of the famous Paul Revere and he petitioned that she should receive an Invalid Pension.  It was approved.

Trump Has Served in the Military

Some kind of foot injury prevented Trump from serving in the Vietnam War.  Many rich young persons were able to be exempt either by university studying or claiming some form of disability.  How many of these used doctors and paid them well for such certification of disability?

Here are Photos of Today’s Military

How many transgendered persons are serving bravely for the USA in war zones?  Trump needs an education and compassion for anyone sent into war.    paula.

How many of these crosses represent:
straight, gay, bi-sexual, lesbian, transgendered soldiers?

The New York Daily News reports:

New York City’s rats have gotten much bigger … and blonde. A giant inflatable of President Trump, in the style of labor unions’ blowup rodents, is greeting Midtown residents and tourists Monday afternoon at Fifth Ave. and 59th St.

The grotesque model of Trump was claimed by gallery Bravin Lee, who said that the inflatable rat is “an enduring sign of resistance and ridicule.”

“I was always passing by these non-union construction sites on my bike and I saw these inflatable rats. I was amazed at how effective they were. I marveled at how disgusting they were,” gallery owner John Post Lee told the Daily News.

The rat sports a Russian flag pin.

Some one will not be smiling!   Someone will state ‘ Fake Blow up’.

SHOWING LOVE THROUGH BREAST IRONING: WHY SOME DAUGHTERS ENDURE THIS PAINFUL PRACTICE TO APPEASE THEIR MOTHERS

08_11_BreastIroning_06
08/11/17

IN THE MAGAZINE

Veronica, 28, massages the breasts of her 10-year-old daughter, Michelle, as her other children watch. Veronica started to iron Michelle’s breasts seven months before this image was taken. Her older daughter, not pictured, refused to have her breasts ironed and became pregnant at 14 years old. HEBA KHAMIS

She was just 28, already a grandmother, and her eldest of five daughters had gotten pregnant at 14. She was determined to keep her other girls from making the same mistake, So this past November, in a village near the city of Bafoussam in Cameroon, she brought her 10-year-old and her 7-year-old inside to flatten their breasts. She took a stone the size of her palm, normally used to smash herbs, and, one at a time, pressed it into the sides of the girls’ breasts and massaged it in circles for about 10 minutes as the other daughter looked on nervously. All the while, the woman’s twin toddlers were running around the room, tugging at her dress. She wasn’t punishing her daughters; she was trying to protect them.

Egyptian photographer Heba Khamis recently spent a month in Cameroon. Based in the capital city of Yaoundé, she traveled to villages and other cities to speak to girls and women about breast ironing, which is a futile attempt to prevent young breasts from growing. The practice takes different forms—some tie a belt to bind the breasts, while others heat a grinding stone, a spatula or a wooden pestle in a fire and then use it to press, pound or massage them—but the goal is the same. The victim is usually between 8 and 12 years old, and she is considered too young to have breasts and too vulnerable to boys and men around her to appear physically mature. Rebecca Tapscott, a post-doctoral researcher at the Graduate Institute in Geneva’s Albert Hirschman Centre on Democracy who has researched what she prefers to call breast flattening, says Cameroonian women describe it as “sending the breast back from where it’s coming.” Though no medical studies have looked at the short- or long-term effects of breast ironing, physicians told Tapscott that the practice could cause infections, benign lumps and other problems. But, in what is perhaps the most tragic twist, it will not stop breasts from developing.

Kamini

Kamini Tontines, 12, hides her breasts after her mother ironed them. The painful process involves heating a stone or another object and pressing it against the breast, melting the fat and causing the breast to recede. Many Cameroonian mothers believe that by flattening their daughters’ breasts, they can protect them from men who would otherwise make sexual advances or rape them. HEBA KHAMIS

Nearly a quarter of the women in Cameroon, a Central African nation of 23 million, have endured some form of breast ironing. Counterintuitive though it may seem, the women performing this painful procedure on young girls are trying to protect them. Girls in Cameroon are reaching puberty earlier and marrying later—and many mothers want to make sure their daughters don’t get pregnant and miss out on opportunities to go to school and get jobs. Their hope is that breast flattening will help delay the appearance of these visible markers of maturity—and prevent men from making sexual advances or raping the girls. In Cameroon, a premarital pregnancy can derail a girl’s economic and marriage prospects forever. One education official told Tapscott that 65 percent of female school dropouts left because of early pregnancy. Most never return, and the stigma associated with having a child out of wedlock means most men would never consider marrying these girls. Breast ironing, many believe, can help protect girls in a society where sex education at home and school is lacking, where contraceptives are unpopular and abortion is illegal.

“When you look from outside, you feel like it is criminal. How could they do that to their daughters?” says Khamis. But it’s more complicated than a Western observer might immediately see. “It was just like a mother who’s trying to show love, to protect her daughter. I can see love, but also how it’s hurting.”

Breast ironing was first described to the international community just over a decade ago, but its origins are still not well understood. In 2005, the German development agency GIZ and the National Network of Aunties (RENATA), a Cameroon-based nongovernmental organization, interviewed more than 5,000 girls and women, ages 10 to 82, and found that roughly 25 percent had been subjected to some form of breast ironing—with the rate as high as 53 percent in some regions. The study also found a girl’s mother is most likely to perform the practice, though sometimes it’s done by another female relative or the girl herself.

Breast ironing or similar procedures are also conducted in Benin, Chad, Togo and several other West and Central African countries, and British politician Jake Berry has called it a “hidden…crime against women” among the Cameroonian diaspora in cities such as London and Birmingham.

Since the 2005 report, there have been several campaigns to raise awareness and halt the practice, including by the same development agency’s German-Cameroonian Health Sector Program, which organized campaigns against incest, rape and breast ironing. Its partner on the report, RENATA, launched its first efforts in 2006 and Cameroonian journalist Chi Yvonne Leina founded the organization Gender Danger in 2012 to eradicate breast ironing. Khamis believes those efforts are having a positive effect.

While persuading women to stop the practice is important, addressing the issue with girls and women isn’t enough. Breast ironing won’t fix the deeper gender inequities that motivate mothers to hurt their daughters, even if they do so out of love. “Men should just respect women more,” Khamis says, “[but] to change the whole culture is really hard.”

It was a warm spring day, when a Dandelion woke up and took her first look at a beautiful world. All around her were dazzling colors, wonderful scents and delightful sounds.

There were other plants in the garden. They had also bloomed for the first time. These plants were dressed in nature’s finest clothes. The little Dandelion was quick to tell everyone how beautiful each one looked.

Belinda's Dandelion-2 (1)

The Crocus felt the Dandelion’s love and said,  “Dandelion, your head is like the color of the sun. You are very pretty plant.”

The Dandelion was happy to live in a garden where plants were friendly and kind to one another.

Night came to the garden. The plants began to whisper goodnight. Suddenly, an angry plant yelled out in the darkness.

“It is NOT a good night! We have a weed amongst us.”

“What’s a weed?” asked the Dandelion.

The angry plant made herself tall as she spoke.

Belinda's Dandelion2&3-2 (1)

“A weed is useless and ugly. Sometimes, it even tries to look like a flower.”

The Dandelion had more questions.

“Who are you? How do you know such things?”

The angry plant twisted her stem and shook her petals.

“I am a perennial. This means that I bloom each year. Tomorrow, the gardener will water the flowers and pull out ugly weeds.”

The Dandelion looked around her. The moon had begun to shine her light on the plants. They looked so pretty.

“Lady Perennial,” said the Dandelion respectfully. “I see no weeds in this garden. Everyone is different and each plant is beautiful.”

The Perennial twisted her stem again and hissed at the Dandelion.

“Stupid Dandelion! You are the only horrible weed among us!”

The Dandelion shivered with fear as all of the plants looked in her direction.

A Pansy spoke up.

“Lady Perennial, who decides which plant is a flower and which plant is a weed?”

“Humans made this decision a long time ago.” answered the Perennial.

The Pansy was confused. “But, she looks and speaks like one of us. I don’t think we should put her down by calling her a bad name. That would make us bullies.”

“Weeds have no feelings!” replied the Perennial. “They cannot feel pain like plants.”

The Dandelion did feel the pain of the Perennial’s words. She turned to her friend the Crocus.

Belinda's Dandelion5

“Dear Crocus, you told me that my head was like the sun. Please tell me that the Perennial’s words are untrue.”

Now, the Crocus was afraid of the Perennial. If she stood up for the Dandelion, maybe the Perennial would pick on her, too.

“I never said that your head was like the sun. You, Dandelion are just a lying weed!”

This is a sneak peak.

Legend of the Grouse Who Made Canoes for All the Birds

This is a blog I wrote on my kid’s webpage  http://childrenandteensstoriestomotivateandinspire.com

I took the bare strands of the story and adapted it, hopefully, with meaning for kids.  Adults can learn from it, too.  Please pass on my link to children or adults with children.  Thanks.  I write under Pauline Gallagher for the kids site.

This is a blog I wrote on my kid’s webpage.

I live in the Province of Ontario, Canada.  About an hour’s drive by car is an enormous wilderness of lakes, rocks and forests.  People love to swim, canoe and camp in its park.   It is called Algonquin Park and is named after the Algonquin Indians or native people.

People  in most countries of the world have legends.  These are stories that have a meaning or they are meant to inspire young people.  The following legend is about a grouse that build canoes for all the other birds.  We know that birds don’t build canoes, but we can learn from the following story.  It was told by Chiefs or Wise Persons to young Indian boys and girls.  See if you can get the message from the legend.

Ontario is a very large province in Ontario. Ottawa, the capital is in Ontario. The biggest city in Ontario is Toronto

The Grouse Makes Canoes.

The partridge has a long tail, but this is about the two grouses in the picture

The legend tells of a grouse that built great canoes for all the birds, but a bad one for himself?  Why would he do that?  Let’s find out.  A young Indian boy or girl would know the sound when  grouse beats (pecks) or stomps on a hollow log.  It is called drumming and that is the sound of an adult Indian making a canoe.  The Algonquins called the grouse “Mitchihess.”  And the story happens in N’karnayoo, that means “long ago” or in the old times.

Long ago, Mitchihess (Mitch-ee-hess) was the grouse that build canoes for other birds.  Maybe birds did not fly in those days.  Maybe baby-birds that could not fly were put in canoes.  Who knows?   Anyway, all the birds met with Mitchihess to receive their canoes.

The grouse

Kich-ee-pla-gon, the Eagle had a shell canoe and he paddled off, using the ends of his wings  as paddles.  Next came, Ko-ko-kas, the Owl and then all the other birds and they proudly paddled their canoes with their wings.  Even, the tiniest bird,  A-la-Mus-sit, the Humming Bird, had the tinest canoe and the birds were so happy for it.

The Fish-Hawk Watches the Boats

Fish-Hawk

Now, Ish-meg-wess, the Fish-Hawk seemed to be the only flying bird in the area and he screeched out in joy, “Ak-wed-en Sko-u-je” which is the Algonquin language for  “A canoe is coming.”  In fact, he saw a squadron (a group) of canoes heading out to sea.

The Fish-Hawk was surprised to find that Michihess the grouse had not built a boat for himself.  He asked the partridge questions.  “Why are you not making one for yourself, Michihess ?  The grouse had not wished to do this, but decided he would build himself a boat.

“I’ll Build the Greatest Boat,” said the Grouse called Mitchihess

Mitchihess worked away for days.  He wanted his boat to be better than all the boats he had made for the other birds.  The news spread quickly and all the birds returned to behold (see) Partridge’s dream and spectacular boat.  Now, Mitchihess was good at building boats but not really good at thinking.  He decided that if a boat with two ends meant that it could go in two directions, then a boat that was round could go in ALL directions.   The birds saw a canoe that was built like a round nest.  The birds decided that partridge was clever and they wished their boats were like the one he owned.

Oh, No – It Won’t Go!

Now, Mitchihess looked around and saw the admiring birds.  He was so proud that he puffed up his feathers and walked proudly towards his round canoe.  He used his wings as paddles, but NOTHING happened.

He tried harder and the birds watched him go around in CIRCLES.

I’m Running Away to Hide

Now, the proud Mitchihess let his puffed up feather droop (fall down).

He was embarrassed.   He did not wait for any bird to laugh or point their wings towards his round canoe.   He rushed away on his legs and headed for the thick and dark bushes.  Most of the birds were sorry for him.  He had made a mistake.  All the birds had made mistakes, but they had been able to forgive themselves. They wanted to tell this to Mitchihess.  Owl said,

Owl

“I would say to him, forget your mistake with the round canoe.  Look instead at the wonderful canoes you made for others.”

Eagle

The Eagle said, “His pride has made him run away from friends who love him.  He should have stayed and said, “Yes, I made a mistake. We all make mistakes.”

My Thoughts on the Legend.

I think we learned not to take our mistakes too seriously.  We all make mistakes.  We need to forgive ourselves when we make mistakes.  We learn not to make the same mistakes again.

grouse hide in grasses and bushes

I think Mitchihess and all his later generations of grouses have forgiven themselves and are happy to live in the dark bushes and by rivers.  They are not a fast flying bird and hiding now saves them from hunters.  So, everything has turned out well for the grouses.

(Sometimes the word ‘grouse’ is confused with the word ‘partridge’)  They are two different species of bird.

SYDNEY, Australia — IT was 2 a.m., just a few days before Christmas, in a remote part of Afghanistan. Eight hours into a 16-hour shift, Ryan, a 23-year-old American naval sailor, was standing tense and alert, watching the footage of soldiers undertaking a nearby mission on a screen in front of him.

Suddenly, a hand clapped onto his back. Wheeling around to look at the face of his senior officer, Ryan knew the moment he had feared had come: His superiors had found out that his enlisted paperwork described him as female. Within three hours, he was on a plane.

Ryan, who is now stationed on a base in the United States awaiting a potential discharge, recently described that day to me. Ryan is the name his mother would have given him if he had been identified as male at birth. He does not want to reveal his real name because his case is being processed by the military.

While the repeal of “don’t ask, don’t tell” in 2011 meant gays and lesbians could serve openly in the American military, transgender people still cannot, because the military defines gender nonconformity as a psychological disorder. So transgender soldiers serve in silence, facing dismissal if exposed.

This isn’t the case in other countries. At least 12 now officially allow transgender individuals to serve openly in their defense forces. Britain has allowed transgender people to serve openly since 1999, and Australia since 2010

The flags of these countries had hung above Ryan’s control station in Afghanistan. “I wear an American uniform and I represent a country supposedly defined by liberty and equality,” he told me. But “my allies are welcome to serve in a way that has most certainly just cost me my livelihood. If these countries’ soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines can serve openly and authentically as transgender women and men, why can’t I?”

Nine percent of transgender people who have served in the American military report being discharged because of being transgender or gender nonconforming. Almost all of the rest stay quiet for fear of harassment or abuse.

A Harvard study published last year found that most transgender military personnel in America are white, educated and middle-aged. And most eventually transitioned from male to female. It also found that 20 percent of transgender people had served in the military — double the rate of the general population. (There is a theory that many seek “hypermasculine” experiences to suppress their desire to be female.) A University of California survey found almost all — 97 percent — were not able to transition until after they left the service.

But there’s a shift happening. According to data from the Department of Veterans Affairs, the number of veterans seeking advice on transgender issues has doubled in the past 10 years. And hundreds of currently serving transgender members of the armed forces have joined an underground support movement called SPART*A. (About 20 of them are out to their peers, and a handful are also out to their superiors. They describe meeting with wildly varying degrees of support, much as gays and lesbians found before the repeal of “don’t ask, don’t tell.”)

Transgender men and women are not banned from serving by congressional law, but by military medical codes. These codes classify being transgender as a psychological disorder, which was in line with the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders III, published in 1980. But the latest edition of the manual, the D.S.M.-5, released last May, replaced “Gender Identity Disorder” with “gender dysphoria.” The point of the change, according to the American Psychiatric Association, was to make it clear that “gender nonconformity is not in itself a mental disorder.”

The military has not acknowledged this shift. Asked if the Defense Department would reconsider its policies and make the necessary regulatory change, a spokesman for the Pentagon, Lt. Cmdr. Nate Christensen, responded, “Department of Defense regulations don’t allow transgender individuals to serve in the U.S. military, based upon medical standards for military service.”

So the global anomalies remain. And a growing number are asking why.

A new documentary series called “TransMilitary,” which is scheduled to be released online in the fall, will contrast the experiences of transgender people in the armed forces in America and Britain. Fiona Dawson, the show’s host and producer, says the difference between the countries is “shocking.” While she has found several transgender members of the armed forces under investigation in America with likely discharge, in Britain, she found support, and some celebration.

“A captain in the British Army even had a ‘patch party’ thrown for her to celebrate her first day of hormones,” she told me. “Her colleagues slapped Band-Aids on their arms while she applied her first hormone patch. These are the human interactions that build a trusting, cohesive and robust team.”

Across the world, bold transgender men and women are stepping into the public light to show it is possible to live authentic lives while serving their countries. Many face rejection, many struggle with suicidal thoughts, and the great majority serve in secret. But others are speaking out.

Allyson Robinson, now an L.G.B.T. consultant, served in the United States Army and was ordained as a Baptist minister before coming out as transgender and transitioning to female. She says her greatest struggle when studying at West Point was the honor code — “a cadet will not lie, cheat, steal or tolerate those who do.” Having to conceal her true gender identity felt like a violation of that code.

But since transitioning, she says she has experienced “nothing but respect” from people in the military. Once, when she told a puzzled cadet at the West Point gate that she had studied there, he clicked his heels and said: “Well, then, welcome home, ma’am.” She cried all the way to the parking lot, and cries when retelling the story now.

One of the highest-ranking transgender military officers in the world — if not the highest — is Lt. Col. Cate McGregor of the Australian Defense Force. When she decided to undergo gender reassignment in 2012, she offered to resign. But her boss, the chief of Army, Lt. Gen. David Morrison, refused to allow it. She is now a prominent and widely respected officer (and cricket commentator) who attributes her acceptance to her colleagues’ support and Australia’s “live and let live” pragmatism. Most “alpha Aussie blokes,” she says, were content that she was “still into chicks” and could still hit a cricket ball, which amused her: “There is a groping towards a paradigm of blokeyness they can accept.” Every day now, she says, living as a woman, “it feels amazing to be alive.”

General Morrison said that watching Colonel McGregor’s struggles has deepened his understanding of what it means to be transgender: “My hat goes off to everyone who does it because they are trying to be true to themselves. It takes an enormous amount of courage. And if an army can’t respect courage, then there’s something wrong.”

Courage, surely, should be part of any honor code, too.

Media Matters has the transcript from Sean Hannity’s radio show today:

Paula here.  Let me start by stating it is 121 miles or 194.92 km from the North Korean capital of Pyongyang, to the South Korean capital of Seoul.

Now read what retired General Thomas McInerney is stating on Fox News.  He is insane or totally ignorant or has a hidden agenda.

——————————————————————————–

THOMAS MCINERNEY: We have no choice, and by the way, if one — if one artillery round comes out of North Korea onto Seoul, he gets our full nuclear retaliatory capability. Make sure he understands that. That artillery is no longer valid, because when we retaliate, we’re going to retaliate with nuclear weapons.

SEAN HANNITY (HOST): Well, when I say no good option — and I want to get to General Patterson in a second — when I say no good option, if we have to strike, even if we have a coalition of the willing — if we have to strike, we’re going to incinerate that place.

The nuclear fallout, correct me if I’m wrong, even if we use, you know buster — bunker bombs, and other technologies, is — the fallout potential is dramatic. I mean, potentially — am I right, or overstating the fact that millions could potentially die here?

MCINERNEY: Yeah, but they’ll be mostly North Koreans.

HANNITY: What about South Koreans? What about the Japanese? What about nuclear fallout making its way to China?

MCINERNEY: You can contain that.

HANNITY: How do you contain nuclear fallout, though? How do you do that?

MCINERNEY: Well, you contain it with airbursts and the size of the weapons. Look how many weapons we dropped on Japan, then we were in there weeks later.

Hit the link for the audio. Last year McInerney was among 86 retired generals and admirals who issued a joint endorsement of Trump.

WHAT IS THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE N.K CAPITAL  AND THE S.K CAPITAL?

Young Annie Oakley

Born Phoebe Ann Moses in 1860, she is better known as ANNIE OAKLEY.  She starred as a sharp shooter in Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show.  Known as “Little Sure Shot” she could split a playing card, edge-on, and put several more holes init before it could touch the ground.  She did this using a .22 calibre rifle at 90 ft.

I’m sure her husband never argued with Annie before a show, because  another one of her tricks was to shoot the end off a cigarette held in her husband’s lips.  Such was her fame that she entertained Queen Victoria and shot a cigarette ot of Kraiser Wilhelm II’s mouth.

CALAMITY JANE

Calamity Jane

Born Martha Jane Canary, we know her better as CALAMITY JANE.  She dressed like a man and worked and socialized along side tough frontiersmen. Calamity drank in bars and cussed like a man. During the mid 1800’s, she turned her hand to digging for gold and becoming a pony express rider.

A story says that Jane was travelling with a pack train carrying army supples when a mule went down.  She watched as its driver kicked it viciously with his heavy army boots.  Jane warned him not to kick the animal again.  The driver knocked her hat off with his whip.  Fast as lightning,  Jane pulled her revolver.  She ordered the driver to put the hat back on her head. He obeyed!

MARY FIELDS, born a slave in Tennessee (1832) she used her gun to protect women.

It is said that Mary was a feisty woman who liked a good fight.  She had no formal education and made her way to Ohio where she worked for a Catholic convent. The head nun, Mother Amadeus, welcomed and befriended Mary.  The Ursuline nuns moved from Ohio to Montana.  Later, Mary learned that Mother Amadeus was ill. She traveled to Montana and nursed Mother Adadeus back to health.  Back working for the nuns, Mary was instrumental in building St. Peter’s Mission School. She protected the nuns from two and four footed predators.  However, Mary had a wild streak, with episodes of hard drinking and fights.   The nuns dismissed her, but were gracious in providing finances to help Mary open a cafe.  The business failed because Mary was too generous to the poor.

In 1895, she became a U.S mail coach driver in Montana.  She and her mule Moses, never missed a day of work, and she earned the nickname “Stagecoach” for her unfailing reliability.  She retired from the job at age eighty.

I have quoted this from a spiritual teacher, here is the link  http://superheroyou.com/increase-spirituality/

A superhero strives to be healthy in all aspects of his/her life. That’s why we’ve talked about physical and mental health – and why we’re now talking about spiritual health. You might be skeptical, but increasing your spirituality is important to become an all-around better person. Read on to learn more.

1. Know what spirituality is.

First, we need to get clear on what we mean by spirituality. Spirituality isn’t about following a particular religion – although practicing a religion can help deepen your spirituality. We’re following the definition set forth by Care of Mind, Care of Spirit, which states that spirituality is the growth of a person as a whole. As the word suggests, deepening your spirituality is about improving the health of your spirit. It’s about getting in touch with your soul, appreciating the energy that flows through you, and learning to become more inspired and aware of how your actions affect everything around you. But spirituality also means different things for different people, and a lot of that definition is intuitive. So first, you need to figure out what increasing your spirituality means to you.

2. Take care of yourself.

Think your physical state has nothing to do with your spirituality? Think again! Keeping your body in tip-top shape means you’re able to focus on your thoughts instead of how tired you are. Plus, the discipline you use to keep your body healthy will spill over into your spiritual journey. So eat well, sleep enough and exercise more.

3. Educate yourself.

When it comes to your spiritual journey, educating yourself is a two-fold process. You certainly want to learn more about whatever particular spiritual method you’re focusing on, whether it’s a religion or a type of meditation. However, it’s also important to educate yourself about other methods of spirituality. By confronting ideas you might not believe in, you’ll deepen your understanding of your own spirituality – plus, you’ll be able to keep an open mind and appreciate the diversity of thought understand. Not sure where to start? Why not read Soul Shifts?

4. Find a community.

There’s a reason nearly every religion has some place where its believers can gather. A community of like-minded people can help you stay on track by providing guidance, other people who are struggling with the same things you are, and mentors. Your community doesn’t have to necessarily be a religious one – it could be a self-help group, a meditation center or even an online discussion forum. There are also several secular groups that often meet to discuss spiritually. Want to dive deep? Consider a retreat to help you jumpstart the process.

5. Make time for quiet contemplation.

A lot of being spiritual is about being in tune with yourself – without all the distractions of every day life. That’s why it’s so important to take 10 – 15 minutes of quiet contemplation every day. For many people, these minutes are dedicated to praying to a higher power. But they don’t have to be! Other possibilities include reflection, meditation, journaling, yoga, or merely eating more mindfully.

6. Be kind to yourself.

Becoming more spiritual is a lifelong process that’s full of challenges. You’ll struggle, doubt yourself, and be skeptical of some of the ideas you come across. You might even abandon the process only to return years later. In fact, perhaps that’s what you’re doing now! It’s important to remember that all of these phenomenons are natural and you shouldn’t blame yourself for them. You’re not a bad person because you struggle with spirituality – everybody does. So be kind to yourself.

7. Serve others.

One of the easiest ways to develop spiritually is to serve others. By helping others feel good, you’ll also feel good – it’s an emotion that can’t be beat. While monetary donations are great, they don’t affect your spiritual development. You can get the most benefits with volunteering your time or services, or perform a Random Act of Kindness.

8. Get outside.

Communing with nature is an oft-cited spiritual practice for a reason – it works. Nowadays, most of us live in urban environments and hardly see any green spaces. But spending time in nature will help you feel more connected to the rest of the world, which is key to spirituality. So get off your phone and take a walk through the park, making time to simply just be.

9. Forgive and be thankful.

Being spiritual means you’re happy, hopeful and optimistic about the world. But you can’t feel that way if you’re harboring intense negativity towards someone or something. Make an effort to forgive people for the way they’ve slighted you, no matter how big or small. It’s also crucial to forgive yourself for your own faults – you don’t have to be perfect to be a spiritual person. Finally, practice an attitude of gratitude. Finding things to be grateful for every day will leave you in awe of the world’s blessings and thus help deepen your spirituality.

10. Practice and commit.

As we said earlier, becoming more spiritual is a life-long process that involves a lot of challenges. And while it’s OK if you try and fail at it sometimes, it’s not OK to not try at all. Becoming more spiritual isn’t going to be easy. It requires a lot of work. But by making that commitment and putting in the effort, you’re also opening yourself up to a life that’s so much better than the one you had before. So if you want to become more spiritual, commit to doing so and begin practicing the habits above. It won’t be easy. But it will be worth it.

DOCTORS LEAD CALL ON AUSTRALIA TO LEGALIZE SAME—SEX MARRIAGE

The Australian Medical Association (AMA) has called on the Turnbull Government and Opposition Leader Bill Shorten to legalise same-sex marriage in Australia.

Concept of national healthcare system – LGBT- Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people

AMA President Dr Micheal Gannon has written to the Australian Parliament asking both leaders to take a bipartisan approach to legalising gay-marriage.

Dr. Michael Gannon

Gannon cites on-going structural discrimination as a cause for significant mental and physical health risks to the LGBTQ community in his letter.

“Discrimination has a severe, damaging impact on mental and physiological health outcomes, and LGBTIQ individuals have endured a long history of institutional discrimination in this country,” he said in a statement.

“This discrimination has existed across the breadth of society; in our courts, in our classrooms, and in our hospitals.”

To combat this, the AMA is lobbying the Government to have same-sex relationships recognised under the 1961 Marriage Act. The association has also called for the removal of discriminatory practices by businesses and doctors to ensure the health of people who identify as LGBTQ is of primary concern both in hospitals and in daily living.

Since its launch on Saturday, the new push has gained widespread support from LGBTQ activist groups, medical associations and even the Australian Labour Party.

Speaking at a press conference on Saturday, Deputy Opposition Leader Tanya Plibersek welcomed the idea that gay-marriage should be legal in Australia.(She is a straight married woman)

Tanya

“I think it’s terrific that the AMA have come out in support of marriage equality,” she said.

“That’s the way forward.”

The Australian Medical Student’s Association (AMSA) and The NSW Medical Students Council (NSWMSC) have rallied behind the AMA’s movement in their support for marriage equality.

AMSA President Rob Thomas said that “LGBTIQ people suffer poorer health outcomes than the rest of the population. The stigma and discrimination against sexual minorities plays a significant role in the higher rates of mental health issues.”

“Further, it has been shown that discriminatory policies, such as those relating to marriage equality, have been shown to have negative health effects in lesbian, gay and bisexual people. These populations are at greater risk of suicide, depression, anxiety and alcohol and other substance dependence,” he said in a statement.

The NSWMSC echoed a similar sentiment saying that, “as future doctors, we have a duty of care not only to our patients but to our colleagues as well.”

“Marriage equality is a vital step towards celebrating the LGBTQ members of our community, who have every right to have their love recognised in the same way as heterosexual couples,” NSWMSC said in a statement.

Activist group The Equality Campaign, who focuses on achieving marriage equality in Australia, has welcomed this support.

Independent MP and the Campaign’s Co-Chair Alex Greenwich said that the “AMA’s support for marriage equality highlights the important health and well being benefits of treating all citizens equally and fairly.”

“Doctors know from first hand experience the tragic consequences of medical emergencies that come from the lack of equal legal recognition of same-sex partners,” he said in a statement.

The AMA cites research from mental health organisation Beyond Blue as support for their argument. They say that on-going discrimination against the LGBTQ community results in engagement in high-risk behaviours such as illicit drug and alcohol abuse. People who identity as Queer also have higher rates of suicide.

The AMA says that these health issues are a result of discrimination and stigmatisation of people who are LGBTQ, not as a result of sexual orientation itself.

500 religious leaders send strong message to Australia's PM

As the Australian government heads into the party room for an emergency meeting to debate how to move forward on marriage equality, more than 500 religious leaders have declared their support.

The leaders from various religions have sent an open letter Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and his government supporting marriage equality.

The letter comes a day after conservative Senator Dean Smith’s draft Bill on the issue. His Marriage Amendment (Definition and Religious Freedoms) Bill 2017 would allow religious organizations to refuse to marry same-sex couples.

The largest number of signatories came from the Uniting Church of Australia (22%), Anglicans (18%) and Catholics (13%). The leaders have signed alongside religious leaders from Jewish, Buddhist, Muslim and Hindu communities.

‘Marriage equality is a basic human right, Islam is a religion that promotes all human rights not some human rights,’ said Imam Nur Warsame of Marhaba.

‘It will help a lot of young people gain confidence because they are in an environment that says to them that they are wrong and impure, marriage equality will help a lot in the LGBT Muslim community gain confidence.’

Rabbi Shoshana Kaminsky of the Beit Shalom Synagogue in Adelaide signed the petition because she believes in equal rights.

‘I’ve signed this petition because I believe that all human beings are created in God’s image and so are entitled to the same legal rights,’ she said.

‘It is my privilege to know people in same-sex relationships whose commitment to one another is just as deep and lasting as those in heterosexual relationships.’

Commentators have claimed Australia might be closer to achieving marriage equality than ever before. But some are predicting the Liberal Party meeting will push for an already defeated plebiscite and if that fails a postal public vote.

The Equality Campaign’s executive director Tiernan Brady said marriage equality would not impact on faith or religious institutions.

‘These religious leaders support civil marriage equality because of their faith and values, not despite it,’ he said.

‘Their letter reflects the will of the majority of people of faith in Australia who want marriage equality to happen.’

Read the open letter here:

Dear Prime Minister,

We write to you as clergy, lay leaders, people of faith and LGBTI people of faith, from across the diversity of religions and faith communities in Australia.

We believe we are all equal (in the eyes of G-d)*, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or intersex status. We urge faith leaders to promote equality and inclusion for all people.

As people of faith, we understand that marriage is based on the values of love and commitment and we support civil marriage equality, not despite, but because of our faith and values.

We support a change to the legal definition of civil marriage to include LGBTI people’s relationships and families, a change that the majority of Australians support.

We urge people of faith to exercise their freedom of conscience to stand up for civil marriage equality as a matter of social justice.

We call on politicians to show leadership and unite to make civil marriage equality a reality for every Australian.

Yours sincerely,

Religious leaders.

(*signatories from theistic faiths include this clause)

MY RESPONSE to a imaginary letter of the godly against marriage equality.

Dear Prime Minister,
We the religious of the signed letter want to point out that we love God, we do not however love gays enough to give them equality of marriage. We are proud to quote the homosexual abomination from Leviticus – Yes, we realize that it was written 3,500 years ago. We give credit to God for all the scientific inventions since then, particularly in the area of medicine and psychiatry. We do not agree with the World Psychiatric Association that wrote a letter representing 250,000 psychiatrists in 181 countries. Can you imagine that they wrote, “homosexuality cannot be reversed therefore it is NOT a choice!” We stick to the 3,500 year old verdict.

Courageous student, Ali Chaney

A 13-year-old Texas girl is speaking out after her school told her a pro-LGBTQ shirt she was wearing was a violation of the school’s dress code policy.

Eighth-grader Ali Chaney and her mother, Cassie Watson, believe the shirt reading “Some people are gay, get over it,” does not qualify as disruptive under the policy.

“I would never, ever have expected it from the administration,” Watson told KCEN News.

“I would think that the administration would be the first ones there to support her.”

Watson says she got a call this past Monday from her daughter, in tears after being sent to the principal’s office at SC Lee Junior High School in Copperas Cove, Texas.

Chaney, who identifies as homosexual, says school officials told her to change her shirt.

“It’s just a shirt, and it’s not hurting anybody,” Ali told KCEN News.

Yet Chaney says that policy is not enforced universally, showing a KCEN reporter a photo of another classmate wearing a shirt implying U.S. President Barack Obama is a Muslim Communist.

In that case, Chaney says no disciplinary action was taken by the school despite the shirt’s obvious political message.

Cassie Watson says she’s filed a complaint with the school board and is hopeful they will offer an apology to her daughter.

To make a long story short here we go: we had a girl with two mothers wear a pro-LGBT shirt about the gay agenda, and she got in  trouble one day earlier this year and was sent to the principals office where she was met with not just the elementary principal but also the middle school and the high school principal.

We brought the ACLU involved, as well as responses from Equality Texarkana, and the organization went they budged a little bit but not enough except for the third time, the third time they made as a requirement for their professional development

Baby steps, baby steps, if you want 2 organizations to support there is the ACLU and Equality Texarkana.

Singapore satu kesalahan Homoseksual

Paula lagi mengulas.

2016 Pink Dot Parade.

Pink Dot Pride Parade

Koh Jee Leong with his parents

Koh Jee Leong is a ‘one man crusade’ in Singapore.  He is suported by his family and friends.   Koh Jee caused himself to go viral when he wore a tank top to the gym that read, “Gay But Not Yet Equal.”  Truth and justice came from SAFRA Mount Faber EnergyOne Gym that stated his tank top did not break any rules.  Well done, gym staff!

Let’s Talk

Koh Jee is a walking advertisement.  He is willing to talk to his fellow country persons even if they oppose his stance.  Dialogue is so important.  Perhaps, for the first time – a native of Singapore is meeting and speaking openly to a gay person.  Koh Jee in an interview with “Gay Star News” spoke about his interaction with straight and older residents of Singapore.

He learned that in the 1960s, people were more tolerant. (I, (paula) am suggesting that the media and right wing Evangelicalism is to blame for today’s homophobia).  He recorded a writer straight female who spoke of that era when boys held hands in the school cafeteria and two female teachers who came to a convent school together.  They also adopted a child.  No intervention from the Catholic convent school authorities.

Singapore Criminalizes Homosexuality

Paula again commenting.   “I tmight be said that the citizens of Singapore are like ostriches hiding their heads in the earth.  They are law-abiding and homosexuality is a crime. It is a subject that is taboo.  And it raises doubts and even feelings that the law is unjust, but the law is the law!. I have visited Singapore about four times and voices are low.  There is a law against chewing gum!   Crime is almost non-existent.  There is no litter anywhere.  There is a pride and calmness presented in people I have obseved. (paula).

My thoughts seem to be borne out in Koh Jee’s discussions with his friends.  The society does not like to engage in conflict.  ‘The tank top not only states one’s sexuality, criminalized under section 377A, but also asks for the law to be changed. That carries the double charge of not only going against the Asian reluctance to talk about such matters in public, but also going against the law.  Koh Jee states that it took years to accept himself.

Pink Dot

On his journeys and wearing his tank top, Koh Jee met a young girl who quietly told him, “I am one of you.”   Koh Jee noticed that she did not say, “lesbian or part of the LGBTI community.”  She did admit to going to two Pink Dot Pride Parades.   She was obviously in “the closet.”

2016 Pink Dot Parade.

Pink Dot Pride Parade

Organisers have estimated that over 28,000 LGBT and allies from Singapore and beyond attended this year’s rally, which exceeded the capacity of Hong Lim park. The event began in 2009 with an attendance of 2,500.

This year, organisers replaced its traditional light-up of pink torches—to form a “pink dot” at the park—with the raising of pink placards at the culmination of the event and making a stand for the Freedom to Love.

Many Christian Churches have asked Muslims to join them in wearing “white” on Pink Dot Day.

My Personal Response

On Gay Star News, I posted the following:

Wow! Great man. I will blog this on my site http://stories4hotbloodedlesbians.com in English, Chinese and languages of local surrounding countries. This shirt should also be worn in Australia and other countries. In March 2016, the World Psychiatric Association, with a membership of approx 250,000 psychiatrists , and representing 181 countries, wrote to the U.N and world leaders. They stated that homosexuality CANNOT be reversed and therefore is NOT a choice. Religions must embrace science; they cannot refer to scriptures condeming homosexuality that are over 3,500 years old. At the time of writing, these men lived in tents or caves and struck flints together to make fire. In their non-scientific minds, they could not conceive that humans would one day fly like the birds, have open heart surgery and chemotherapy to aid in the treatment of cancer. In fact, cancer and other diseases were unknown.

President Trump is a man without a conscience.  He is not a thinking man, but can be swayed easily.  He has fired staff more than any other President.  He is a constant liar.  Now, he is being investigated to see if he and members of his family have colluded with Russia or been part of a money laundering business.  His health care reform (which failed) would have taken between 20-30 million American off health care insurance.

Now, for whatever political agenda, he wants transgendered troops kicked out of the military.  These are men and women who have fought and been killed in wars for their country.  These are patriots who knew and know that they are in the “wrong body.”  Trump escaped military service in Vietnam by some foot problem!

How many of these crosses represent:
straight, gay, bi-sexual, lesbian, transgendered soldiers?

We respectfully disagree

The US Generals and Admirals wrote in their letter:

‘The Commander in Chief has tweeted a total ban of honorably serving transgender troops. This proposed ban, if implemented, would cause significant disruptions, deprive the military of mission-critical talent, and compromise the integrity of transgender troops who would be forced to live a lie, as well as non-transgender peers who would be forced to choose between reporting their comrades or disobeying policy. As a result, the proposed ban would degrade readiness even more than the failed ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ policy. Patriotic transgender Americans who are serving—and who want to serve—must not be dismissed, deprived of medically necessary health care, or forced to compromise their integrity or hide their identity.

‘President Trump seeks to ban transgender service members because of the financial cost and disruption associated with transgender military service. We respectfully disagree, and consider these claims to be without merit. The RAND Corporation, as well as research in the New England Journal of Medicine, found that the financial cost of providing health care to transgender troops would be, at most, $8.4 million per year. This amounts to one one-hundredth of one percent of the military’s annual health care budget. As for ostensible disruptions, transgender troops have been serving honorably and openly for the past year, and have been widely praised by commanders. Eighteen foreign nations, including the UK and Israel, allow transgender troops to serve, and none has reported any detriment to readiness.

‘Recently, two former Chairmen of the Joint Chiefs of Staff have taken courageous stands in support of our transgender service members. General Martin Dempsey said of our transgender troops that, “The service of men and women who volunteer and who meet our standards of service is a blessing, not a burden.”‘

And Admiral Mike Mullen stated that:

‘I led our armed forces under the flawed ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ policy and saw firsthand the harm to readiness and morale when we fail to treat all service members according to the same standards. Thousands of transgender Americans are currently serving in uniform and there is no reason to single out these brave men and women and deny them the medical care that they require. The military conducted a thorough research process on this issue and concluded that inclusive policy for transgender troops promotes readiness.’

Trump by his election as President (which is dubious at best) is Commander-in-Chief of the U.S.A military.  His job is to support the troops at all times.  Instead, he has caused a division among the finest serving straight, bi, gay, transgendered and straight soldiers.  He has insulted transgendered persons by calling them a “burden.”  Since when is a person willing to die or be fatally injured – a burden?

Donald Trump: “transgendered soldiers are a burden!” dismisses the investigation

Trump the Despicable!

Post-Traumatic Syndom Disorder often accompanies “soldiers who are serving or who have served. Being on the front line of a War is impossible to conceive.  Soldiers need to band together with support from their officers.  Now, Trump has singled out transgendered soldiers to denigrate.   There will always be racist, homophobic and hateful soldiers serving in any country, at any given time.  Now, Trump has enabled them to harass their own comrades.  Fifty-eight retired brass has written to Trump to reprimand him, but the hurt and violence has been unleashed.  It is noteworthy that some “foot problem” enabled Trump to dodge the Vietnam War.  Neither older sons have volunteered to serve their country.

The World Looks On

Australia, New Zealand, U.K., Canada, Thailand, Spain, France, Austria, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Netherlands, Sweden, Bolivia, Belgium, Estonia, Finland… all allow trans men and women to serve. Working with trans men and women is unavoidable for American troops, even if Trump’s desperate Tweet was implemented.

Karma and Justice

How many of these crosses represent:
straight, gay, bi-sexual, lesbian, transgendered soldiers?

History will not be kind to Trump.  Hopefully, justice will bring him to account for his hateful policies.  A Grand Jury is currently involved in looking at the possibility of possible collusion of Trump, his family and his campaign with Russia.  If there has been money laundering or other criminal activities – ‘heads will roll.’  Can he pardon everyone?  This is a man without a conscience.

10. “We learned about dignity and decency – that how hard you work matters more than how much you make… that helping others means more than just getting ahead yourself.”

11. “Find people who will make you better.”

12. “We learned about gratitude and humility – that so many people had a hand in our success, from the teachers who inspired us to the janitors who kept our school clean… and we were taught to value everyone’s contribution and treat everyone with respect.”

13. “Choose people who lift you up.”

14. “I am an example of what is possible when girls from the very beginning of their lives are loved and nurtured by people around them. I was surrounded by extraordinary women in my life who taught me about quiet strength and dignity.”

15. “When I get up and work out, I’m working out just as much for my girls as I am for me, because I want them to see a mother who loves them dearly, who invests in them, but who also invests in herself. It’s just as much about letting them know as young women that it is okay to put yourself a little higher on your priority list.”

16. “At the end of the day, when it comes time to make that decision, as president, all you have to guide you are your values, and your vision, and the life experiences that make you who you are.”

17. “I’ve seen firsthand that being president doesn’t change who you are. It reveals who you are.”

18. “We need to do a better job of putting ourselves higher on our own ‘to do’ list.”

19. “And Barack and I were raised with so many of the same values, like you work hard for what you want in life. That your word is your bond; that you do what you say you’re going to do. That you treat people with dignity and respect, even if you don’t know them and even if you don’t agree with them.”

20. “Success isn’t about how much money you make. It’s about the difference you make in people’s lives.”

 Trump Dismisses the Inquiry AGAIN

Donald Trump dismisses the investigation

Meanwhile, Trump who has been recorded as a pathological liar, continued to dismiss the probe at a rally in West Virginia.  He stated that ““the Russia story is a total fabrication. It’s just an excuse for the greatest loss in the history of American politics.”  However, much Trump may try to denigrate the special inquiry the grand jury has  been at work for several weeks in the District of Columbia.

What May Come of This Investigation.

In the Clinton e-mail case, a grand jury was impanelled to issue some subpoenas—a fact that was only recently discovered—but it was never used to issue any indictments.  What a grand jury can do is compel compel the production of documents and other evidence. Grand Juries can drag on as in the case of Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton.

What Could Speed it Up?

Obviously, it will go at its own speed, but Trump’s case (unlike Nixon and Clinton) could investigate treason – if it could be proven that Trump, his family or staff directly involved Russia in trying to overthrow democracy in the last election.  Were bribes involved?  Was money-laundering part of a pattern that continued before the election, but still influenced it?

What to Expect Next?

After Mueller uses the grand jury to compel the production of documents and other evidence from targets and witnesses in the investigation, he will likely begin bringing witnesses in for testimony.  “Friendly” witnesses may testify before the F.B.I.  Others, will appear before a grand jury and give testimony under oath.  Such testimony will be transcribed to lock in testimony from more adversarial witnesses.

Trump’s Reaction

Trump’s lawyer yesterday welcomed the news and stated that the President wasn’t under investigation.
“The White House favors anything that accelerates the conclusion of his work fairly,” Ty Cobb, a special counsel to the President, said. “The White House is committed to fully coöperating with Mr. Mueller.”

Really?  Trump has insulted Sessions, his Attorney General, perhaps, hoping that he would resign and another replacement could stop Mueller’s investigation.

Trump v Grand Jury

The grand jury  makes it more difficult and politically explosive for Trump to attempt to dismiss Mueller.  The current workings of the grand jury is, in itself, concrete evidence that criminal charges are pending.  Trump’s buildings have many Russians and some of those are directly connected to money laundering and the Russia Mafia.  One rich Russian tycoon paid Trump nearly double the price for one of his homes.  It has been recorded that the Russian has never lived there.

Karma: it comes to us all.  Trump has divided America along racist lines. There have been an increase in the rates of crimes against Muslims, Jews and LGBTI persons.  His healthcare bill, if it had passed without changes, would have snatched health care from an estimated 20-30 million Americans.  He has loosened environmental controls that allow companies to spew chemicals into the rivers.  He has withdrawn his support from the Paris Climate Agreement.  He and his daughter, Ivanka, have not brought back one of their overseas companies.  He has NOT put his company in ‘blind trust’ nor released his tax forms, like other U.S Presidents.  He has invited his son-in-law and daughter to be advisers – neither having political experience.  He has sacked more staff than any other President.   Now, he has to face the full power of the Justice of America.    Time will tell.

my heart flutters at
the way she speaks my name.
“lover”, she hums,
and i watch speechless as woebegone
drips from her lips. she
tastes like moonlight
when she kisses me. fragile.
unknown. known.

when our bodies meet
i can’t imagine living life any
differently than this;
magnetism draws me closer and
i am intoxicated and sobered and
and i let my fingers
trace symphonies over her skin
love songs and love letters
and the lust of
knowing that this is belonging.
we fold into each other
and it is inevitable. i want to
learn her, learn
every part of her, as if
it’s what my soul was sent to do;

her heartbeat weaves a
gossamer of beauty and
she leaves it in the crease of my
neck. “lover”.
lightworker. twinflame.
architect of this home, these
two arms that sing safety
into rose quartz bones.
this is harmony.
i release a held breath and
whisper back, “always”.
this is my promise.

This prayer has been around before Alcoholics Anonymous has used it as a foundation.   For some, God is called the “Higher Power.”  People change the masculine God to the goddess.   This prayer may be helpful for all kinds of earthly struggles.

Sometimes, the problem is so great that we cannot do it by ourselves.  We don’t have to ‘go it alone.’  This is a dangerous concept for our mental, physical and spiritual health.  Sometimes, it is just pride and ego.  Let someone help; most people who help have been to ‘hell’ themselves.  People ‘do understand’ if you call in the ‘right’ people.

Forget about, ‘what they will think about you.’  Love yourself enough to get help.  You were not put in this world to be ‘second class,’ or to “suffer.” Call in the medical professionals and therapists.  Talk to a minister.  Talk to a friend, although sometimes a professional stranger is more qualified and more impartial.

Do not walk in darkness or fear.  You are not the only one with ‘this particular problem.’   Lay down this burden.  The first step is always the hardest, but the steps get easier.

This prayer is obviously not just for alcoholics.   When people hit ‘rock bottom’ in their lives, it can be a wake up call.   From rock bottom, the choices are to stay there…or slowly  and with help, make our way upwards.   Oscar Wilde stated that even when we are in the gutter, ‘we can see the stars.”   (paula)

God grant me the SERENITY to
accept the things I cannot change;
COURAGE to change the things I can;
and WISDOM to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
enjoying one moment at a time;
accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;

Trusting that He** will make all things
right if I surrender to His Will;
that I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him forever in the next. Amen

-Remember you do not walk alone.  You have a guardian angel and spirit guides who are with you in sunshine and in darkness.  paula.

South Korea Pride

An estimated 85,000 people joined in the celebrations which took place in the capital city, Seoul, making it the biggest Pride parade to be held in the city yet.

On July 15, 2017, despite the rain, people from the LGBT community joined in the parade.

The event has steadily grown in popularity since it was first held in 2000.

It’s believed that there were 50,000 attendees last year.

Ralliers were met with protests staged by a few thousand conservative Christians.

We Will Not Hide in the Closet

Pastor Hong Ho-soo, the secretary general of the Homosexuality Countermeasure Council for Korean Churches said:We do not want them to showcase homosexuality in public, which can corrupt the minds of our children.”

He added that he felt it was fine for LGBT people to “celebrate whatever you are at home” but just “not in front of others”.

Pastor Ho-Soo Children Know that they are Gay!

It is evil and unjust to not support children who know that they are gay.  I was about ten years of age when I noticed that I like girls more than boys.  Back then, I didn’t have a word for it.  Today, we have incredible role models that are instrumental in saving gay teens from suicide.  You cannot ‘catch’ homosexuality as a kid.  The best Christian asset would be for kids to be tolerant and understanding of their fellow gay classmates.

I notice the banner, “Homosexuality is a Sin,” well that is certainly in Leviticus, but so is eating shell fish, pork and dressing the body in two fabrics.  I would also add that not loving your neighbour is a sin.   Jesus picked the most outcast (a Samaritan) and placed him above the two religious leaders that walked by the injured man.

World Psychiatric Association

Well done, South Korea.  It should be acknowledge that in March 2016, the World Psychiatric Association, consisting of over 250,000 psychiatrists in 118 countries wrote to the United Nations and World Leaders.   They stated that since homosexuality cannot be reversed, it is NOT a choice.  Why do so man religious people have to be so ignorant and backward
